I’ve been taking these as directed to help with my allergies and inflammation for nearly two months now. I heard positive things about quercetin, and this supplement was rated highly based on reviews.
I cannot say for sure that there is not an effect, but I still need to make sure to take my allergy medicines (Benadryl and Claritin daily), and I still get hives. I don’t feel less itchy, either. I cannot say for certain whether this product has quercetin in it, since supplements are not regulated by the government, so it could be this product rather than my lack of response. The data on quercetin seems pretty good, so I would expect at least some results with the amount the tub suggests per day.
Positive things, though: capsules are vegan, so no gelatin taste or gi upset from that! Additionally, there doesn’t seem to be any artificial colors to the tabs, which is great for preventing for allergic responses!
I may keep taking this, at least until my tub is done, and see if I notice anything if I stop! I’ll update if there is anything else significant to add!

I had a niggling case of prostatitis and although meditation has really helped ease it, this supplement has been my lifeline. Highly recommend!

I have been plagued by almost constant earaches for at least 10 years. Most of the time I wouldn’t even bother going to the doctor for them. When I did he would prescribe an antibiotic and the earache would temporarily go away, but then be right back in a week or two. Finally he decided I had sinus problems and prescribed a couple of medicines that helped somewhat, but still did not eliminate my ear problem, so he advised that I should go on two more prescribed drugs and they would probably take care of the problem. . . I refused. These prescriptions would have cost in the neighborhood of $300/month and additionally some of them had rather unpleasant side effects. Now, I do have health insurance and after meeting my deductible, it would have covered 80% of the cost, but roughly $3600 per year for my sinuses????
I felt there had to be a better, simpler way to deal with the problem, so I started researching on the Internet for what else might be available. . .and I found this quercetin/bromelain product. Reading many many articles in the public press, and a few scientific studies, etc. piqued my interest and I ordered my first bottle about 10 weeks ago. The initial effect was immediate. Really within minutes my sinuses began opening. . .within days my ears stopped aching and in a few weeks my energy level had gone up to a point I hadn’t had in maybe 20-30 years.
Again reading on the Internet, I hadn’t realized what a problem chronic sinusitis could be and I want to tell you that I never considered myself to be one who had a sinus problem. I never had any obvious signs. My nose wasn’t continually stuffed up. I did not realize that I had constant drainage, etc., but chronic sinusitis can have as a symptom: great fatigue.
I’m afraid that my extreme enthusiasm for this product will make you think I’m some sort of a nut, but since starting to take it I’m walking my dog 2-4 miles per day. I’ve lost considerable weight. My grand children are living with us at the moment, I’ve begun to get up out of bed 2 hours earlier than I need to for my Bible devotions and to have breakfast with my grand children. I feel better than I have in years and years.
I think the chronic sinusitis was like carrying around a 30 or 40 pound weight everywhere I went. It was a drag on my whole system. Maybe this won’t work as well for you, but for me it literally has been a life changer. . .

I can’t take OTC or prescription allergy products due to the side effects and have seasonal allergies in addition to high sensitivity to onion and garlic, anything in the “allium” family in general, fennel, spider bites, etc. I have been taking 2 capsules of this twice a day (800 mg Quercetin/330 mg Bromelain 2 times per day on an empty stomach) for three years now. I took a health magazine article where an allergy specialist suggested this dosage to my doctor who prefers alternative treatment. When used for seasonal issues, the allergy specialist recommended starting this dosage 4-6 weeks before the start of the allergy season and continuing through the season. In my case, I found that the longer I am on it, the more I can also tolerate or react less to my food sensitivities. This means that while I can’t eat onion at all, I can now get by with some onion seasoning and can add a few chunks of onion to the bottom of a roast or in a stew/soup for flavor. As long as I control the amount added and don’t actually ingest the onion, this seems to work, most of the time. Now I can eat garlic seasoning and small amounts of cooked garlic, which is such a relief as it adds so much flavor to things and while I miss my onion in cooking/eating, I was a much bigger fan of garlic. When I do have reactions to eating something I’m sensitive to, I just take an extra 800mg dose of this about an hour after eating if I notice some reaction.
I still get internal throat and ear itching sensations during allergy season. When that happens, I add a third 800mg dose of this daily for awhile and drink one or two packets of Emergen-C. If I have moderate/severe itching and drink a packet of Emergen-C, that seems to reduce the itching after about an hour, but that has only been true since I started taking Quercetin with Bromelain.
I hadn’t been bit by a spider for years and got bit a few months ago. As soon as I was bit, the area began tingling, hurting, turning red and swelling, but not as bad as before I took this product. In the past, I’ve carried an Epi-pen, but I guess I’ve been lazy and let that go, because it isn’t often one gets bit by a spider unless it is an occupational or hobby hazard. Anyway, I was bit on the web of my finger, Normally the reaction would be for my entire hand to swell, turn red and hurt and it would take a week of Benadryl capsules for it to resolve back to normal. The reaction this time was about 2 inches around the bite site. I applied Benadryl cream, and covered the site with a piece of tape to draw out the venom. After about 15 minutes, I decided that really wasn’t helping, so I opened a charcoal capsule and made a paste with a few drops of water and applied it to the bite for a good half hour. With my much more limited reaction on the Quercetin/Bromelain, the charcoal paste application was able to do the trick. A few hours after the bite, there was absolutely no allergic reaction left. It was even hard to see where I had been bit…just a small red dot with a little skin puncture was detectable.
Originally I took straight Quercetin capsules without Bromelain. However I know I have been using this brand with Bromelain for at least 1.5 years now and I do think the Bromelain makes a difference and since I am better on this than not, I can tell you that his brand is effective.

I take this because salty foods can make me retain water, and I really feel the difference in puffy fingers and toes. I know it’s also an anti inflamatory. Best to take well after dinner for helping with water retention, because it’s also a digestive aid. I work for a chiropractor who sells supplements, and he’s researched a lot of brands and recommends NOW.
