I have used this toothbrush for the past four months, and my mouth has never felt cleaner. The Sonicare 5300 has several features that I had never had in a toothbrush previously that now feel like must-haves. The pressure sensor keeps me from brushing too hard (which is a problem I’ve had in the past). The timer not only ensures that I brush for the recommended two minutes, but it also helps me brush evenly and thoroughly. The toothbrush tells you when you need to change the brush head so you don’t have to remember. The charger is simple, and the two extra brush heads make this feel like a particularly good value (especially if you get it on sale).
My only caveat is that toothpaste residue can build up under the toothbrush head and between the base and head of the toothbrush. I believe this is due to the rapid speed at which the toothbrush vibrates. If you clean that regularly then that won’t be a problem. I usually take about five seconds after use to give it a quick wipe and that seems to work.

I have used sonicare toothbrushes for years and probably have bought eight for others to try because I am so very impressed with the difference in the cleaning. You know your teeth are cleaner because you can feel it. There have been a few times over the years that I did not have my sonic Care toothbrush, and had to use a regular toothbrush, and I could not believe how unclean my teeth felt. This one is a high-quality one that I believe, vibrates more than the less expensive versions. Regardless of what version you can afford, please get yourself a sonicare toothbrush…. Your teeth will be noticeably cleaner, and your dental visits will be more pleasant.

As always Philips Sonicare is a top quality toothbrush and it does an excellent job at cleaning my teeth and gums. This is my third Sonicare electric toothbrush. The previous one had to be replaced only because the battery does not charge well anymore.

I have always brushed too hard and this toothbrush is a life saver for my gums according to my dentist. t is a nice weight so brushing does not feel like a chore at all. I like the handle is a bit on the wide side so it is easier to grip throughout the brushing session.

My dentist recommended Sonicare to me. I loved my Oral-B electric toothbrush and though Sonicare was just another gimmick. The toothbrush is simple and very easy to use. It took a couple of tries to get used to the angle, method, and the tickle of high vibration. You basically have 30 seconds to cover all surfaces of one quadrant. By the time you finish all four, 2 minutes have elapsed. It has an extra modes for concentrated cleaning of key areas (additional 30 seconds). Toothbrush has vibrational cues when pressing too hard or when it’s time to move to the next area. Battery lasts a long time and easily charged. I love using it now and it’s great to have clean, shiny teeth in just 2 minutes.

My dentist highly recommended this, and I love Phillip’s long history of making quality, durable products. (My previous Sonicare toothbrush lasted 10 years). You can set this model to modestly stimulate the gums or set to a very soft setting. Quad-timer is great too. I love the strength and versatility. Battery life is 2 weeks without needing a charge (brushing 3x a day), and after almost 2 years. What more is there to say? It’s an excellent Phillip’s product!

Got this over the thanksgiving sale and soo happy I did. I have gone through a number of powered and unpowered tooth brushes over the years and this so far is the best one I have ever used. I am not sure which is better, the rotating circular brushes or this oscillating whole brush but I know I havent felt this deep a clean since my last visit to the dentist.
It has done a great job of brushing and so far I havent had to recharge it yet! So the battery definitely lasts a while. It came with a few replacements but ware and tare has been minimal so far.
It really is a great toothbrush and if you can get it ~50% of it is even better!
