This is hands down one of the best cough medicines we have used. We needed a step up from zarbees and this really suppressed my sons cough all day. I knew exactly when it would wear off at the 12hr mark because he would start coughing again. Perfect for before bed to get a good nights sleep! Just a little expensive. Much cheaper in the store, but so hard to find!

It was the first week of summer, and boy was I excited to go on break! Did I get to enjoy it? No. Why? Because after 2 years of successfully avoiding the covid, I tested positive. I wanted to make sure I got better, so I ordered some of this because adult cough suppressants are vile. Not only did this product stop the coughing, it tasted distinctly of purple. Stay safe, and if you catch the plague, buy this!

This cough syrup is almost magical! 40 yrs ago I was finally (after endless doctor visits, tests, etc) diagnosed with a seasonal allergy which causes me to have a non stop, dry, hacking cough. I was prescribed & tried an endless list of asthma medications: cough syrups (prescription & over the counter), inhalers, nebulizer treatments, herbal remedies, steroids, antibiotics, etc. The only thing that silenced the cough…(for about 6 hrs) was 1 tsp of a very strong narcotic cough syrup. I was greatful to have found that method for relief, but I disliked the side effects, constant need to go to my doctor’s office to get a refill prescription, even the cost. Somehow I found Delsym & it’s a life saver! It really does quiet my cough for about 12 hrs, so I can get through a work day & sleep at night. Yes, it’s more expensive than a generic “tussin” cough syrup but I take fewer doses & it really, really works! Some store chains have their own “generic” versions which are somewhat less expensive; if you find those, they seem to work as well as the brand name does. Both flavors have identical ingredients, even though the grape is marketed to be for children & the orange flavor for adults. If you need to calm a cough, and have the dose truly last for a while, I strongly suggest that you give this a try. Just remember to shake the bottle really well and measure exactly.
