It numbs the pain! Takes down the swelling within minutes!!!!! I had one come up at work and didn’t have anything to help it and over nighted this stuff and started treatment immediately after work and is say about an hr later it was gone!!!!!! Magic in a bottle!!!!!!!!!

Not a ton of unpaid reviews on here but I feel like this product is definitely a notch above most of what’s available to treat cold sores. I have frequent outbreaks due to stress and have tried every product out there including Dr. prescribed options. Prescription antivirals help a lot, Abreva does nothing in my opinion, and my go to for some time has been the oragel single dose vials, which can actually stop an outbreak if you catch it early enough. Anyway, this time I was travelling and that didn’t happen in time, so I developed a huge sore in the corner of my mouth, right where it cracks when you eat, talk or smile. Awesome. I got this product on day two after work, and am pretty happy with how its working so far. Within a few hours it got rid of the redness, pain, scabbing and cracking, and is preventing any further cracking or scabbing from happening. The sore looks like it’s on its final day, and it’s only morning of day 3. At this rate, it looks like I might be fully healed by tomorrow, but in the meanwhile what was a huge painful scab yesterday is now hardly noticeable at all after 12 hrs of usage (looks like a patch of dry skin) and I can actually smile and open my mouth with no problems.

I use this alongside Releve. Works well for me to prevent or shorten the time of an outbreak. Healed in under 5 days when I use this combo.

500 mg per day every day of L-LYSINE and you shouldn’t need the OraJel. If you should get a cold sore develop then 1000 mg a day until it leaves with numerous treatments of the OraJel. This has been far and away the best treatment I’ve found period. Your mileage may vary and ask a doctor if unsure, mine was clueless, however. L-LYSINE has been a game changer. I wasted sooo much money on Abreva it’s ridiculous. Make them gone forever I thought was impossible, I was wrong!

I bought this because it said that there’s a green tint that’s helps hide the cold sore. Unfortunately it doesn’t really work, it just disappears after you rub it into the sore. If you want something to hide cold sores you’ll need to just get some concealers instead. Also this basically just has benzocaine which numbs the sore without doing much to help it heal.
