This is a great skincare set for someone who struggles with breakouts. This set contains three products.
The first product is a full size face wash. This face wash has PHAs to exfoliate. The exfoliation is pretty gentle though since I do not feel any irritation or tightness after using this face wash. This face wash cleanses my skin thoroughly but does not leave my skin feeling dry.
The second product is the Differin itself. I feel like nothing is more effective for controlling breakouts long term than a prescription strength retinoid. The tube of Differin is quite small however and will not last as long as the other two products.
The last product is a full size day time moisturizer. The moisturizer is light but hydrates my combination skin well. My dry areas feel soft but my T-zone does not feel greasy. The moisturizer contains an SPF of 30, which is important if you are using a retinoid.
Overall, this set provides a lot of the products you need if you suffer from acne. The only thing I would change is for this set to come with a larger tube of Differin.

Differin was a game changer for me, and even at 60 I still occasionally use it. I actually started my skincare journey using the cream at night for wrinkles as it’s a lesser form of tretinoin. This kit has the smaller size of the cream, plus a cleanser and moisturizer. Great for travel as well. Very happy with set!

This is an excellent kit of full-size products for all of your (or your teen’s) acne care needs. You get an adapalene treatment gel, a hydrating face cleanser, and, in my opinion the most important part of the kit, a skin-friendly SPF facial moisturizer. This used to be available only by prescription when I was a teen, so I’m happy to see that it’s now available over the counter.
The part of this kit that does the most for acne is the adapalene gel, which is a retinoid that goes into the pores to get rid of acne. Since it’s a retinoid, it does make the skin a little sensitive, and in the beginning acne might get a bit worse as spots lurking in the pores come to the surface, but after a few weeks the skin does start to look clearer.
The cleanser is an important step in making sure that the new, clear skin that is revealed stays clear. It gently rinses away dirt and oil without stripping the moisture from the skin. This is ideal, because if a cleanser overdries, it can actually make complexion worse as your skin will try to overcompensate by producing more oil. This cleanser maintains skin moisture while getting rid of oil on the surface that is more likely to cause breakouts. It’s a good cleanser overall, but my daughter said she doesn’t like the smell. Luckily, the smell does not stick around on the skin.
Finally, the SPF moisturizer is, what I think is the most crucial part of this set. Since adapalene is a retinoid, it’s really important to protect the skin from extra sun exposure, which this moisturizer does really well. This moisturizer maintains skin’s softness and helps to keep today’s acne from turning into sun damage years down the line.
This is a great skincare kit for teens that are having problems with acne because it has everything they need to address the issue without causing more problems by overdrying their skin or not protecting from sun damage. Considering that you used to have to go to the doctor and get this using a prescription, the current price for a complete skincare set is an absolute bargain!

This Skin Care Kit with Acne Treatments by Differin has just about everything a teenage complexion needs.
The kit contains three products, oil free hydrating cleanser, adapalene gel 0.1%, and oil absorbing moisturizer with SPF 30. I just want to say right from the start, that I have been over all the ingredients in these products, and am impressed by the lack of Earth unfriendly ingredients. The moisturizer has silicones in it, but that can be forgiven because other than that these formulations are very clean.
The oil-free hydrating cleanser contains 5% PHAs (polyhydroxy acids). The goal of the cleanser is to rid the skin of excess sebum and other debris, brighten and smooth the complexion, and soothe any redness. It has no fragrance added, and leaves the skin feeling clean but not tight.
The adapalene (retinoid medication) gel 0.1% is there to do the dirty work. It will keep the pores clear, restore tone and texture and reduce acne / redness. This gel is also fragrance free, clear and absorbs into the skin nicely.
Lastly, is the oil absorbing moisturizer. It has an SPF of 30, is lightweight, and also absorbs quickly with no leftover oiliness or stickiness. The very first ingredient in the moisturizer is Allantoin, which will soothe, soften, and reduce inflammation. This lotion is non-greasy and contains some good skin loving ingredients like Ceramide NP. However, it is not loaded up with emollients, because oily skin does not need that sort of help.
All in all I think this is a fine trio of skin care for an oily complexion, and my granddaughter has already said that her skin is looking much better after only a week of using these products. At time of review this skin care kit is selling for $39.99. I think that is a great deal for three products that will last months and are so thoughtfully formulated.
