A friend gave me a bar and it was awesome. Felt good, smelled good, lasted… enough. So i thought i would switch. Every order from Amazon has been borderline junk. Crumbly and not like that first bar. I got a little soap bag in the hope that would help but not really. These things emit a torrent of black stuff when wet. I have to scrub the shower every couple days now and they disintegrate quickly. Each bar is lasting 10-12 days. Yes. DAYS with only a single 10 min shower each day. Inside a protective bag.
Ive read others complain of this too and i had hoped it would be corrected but after 12 bars (about 3 months worth of showers) I wont be buying any more of any Squatch product.

At the risk of sounding like I’m the soap makers relative (lol) here was my experience. Washed my hair with it (conditioned after) and soaped up my body. Dandruff is apparently gone in two days and the scaly skin my face had is gone and didn’t use deodorant today. Unreal! Smelled fine and goes on black like charcoal soap and rinsed off completely.

I love this soap and the course grit. When the bar got thin it broke up and the pieces wouldn’t stick together enough to use that last 25% of the bar. That’s a lot of waste given the extravagant price for this brand of soap. If you can afford this soap though, it’s a treat.
