We actually had 3 days of bright sun in the PNW in early November, amazing. I got to test this sunscreen. I’m very easy to burn. This worked well.
Easy to apply, absorbs well with no residue. No smell or lingering greasiness.
Made in Australia which is a good country for sunscreens, they take it seriously.
The only minor issue I have is with a discrepancy between the advertising and the bottle description. The bottle claims 1.3 hours of water resistance, the advertising claims 4 hours.
Cheese and Chocolate –
The title for this sunscreen says it’s 4 hours water resistant but the bottle states a typical 80 minute water resistance. Other than that discrepancy, it’s a good sunscreen. It hydrates the skin and soaks in quickly. It doesn’t leave a white cast since its a chemical sunscreen. It’s fragrance free and cruelty free. Made in Australia.
Cheese and Chocolate –
Being one of the palest people on the planet, a good sunblock is a must for me, though I hate wearing them. They feel… icky. Even ones that say they don’t. Apparently the Aussies have been keeping a secret. Standard Procedure sunscreen is amazing! It has a very light, but pleasant scent, it’s barely there, really, and it feels like NOTHING. It’s very lightweight, it rubs in very quickly and once it’s on you can’t even tell. You might feel more moisturized, but there’s nothing heavy or sticky on your skin. It does feel very slightly heavier on your face, but again, it rubs in well and is only temporary. On top of feeling perfect on your skin and providing great protection, it’s cruelty-free, organic, family owned, reef-friendly AND made in a solar powered factory!? Why do other sunscreens bother??
Nimue –
…and I’ve used almost all of them at one time or another. I’m Irish, and possess the pasty-pale vampire complexion with which so many of my people have been genetically gifted. Tanning is a non-option (there is nothing between “pale” and “burned” for us), so sunscreen is a daily way of life.
Unlike most on the market, Standard Procedure. absorbs almost instantly and–astonishingly–leaves NO discernable residue or film on my skin. It’s virtually weightless and invisible! I am not a huge fan of chemical sunscreens, but the fact that this combines durability (80 minutes even in water), an SPF of 50+, and long shelf life (2 years for the bottle I received), and I will absolutely be making this my primary sunscreen from here onwards!
As an aside: while there is no fragrance, the light scent immediately transported me back to the summers of my childhood in a way no other sunscreen in recent years has done, which is an absolutely unexpected and delightful bonus. Highly recommended!

The Standard Procedure SPF 50+ Sunscreen is my go-to for sun protection! With its high SPF and water-resistant formula, I feel secure spending hours outside without worry. This product is awesome. I’ve used a lot of sunscreens and this is the best ever! This Sunscreen is the perfect Sun Protection and lasts about 4 hours even in the water??? Not a joke it does work and the lotion is so easy to apply, does not take long to absorb and leaves no sticky residue, just protection.
I was delighted to know that this is manufactured is a total solar powered plant and I would love to take a trip and tour this plant. This is a very good product and very reasonably priced. There is a lot of protection in an 8.5 oz. bottle of product. I do recommend this product and I burn so easily and have to keep lathering on the sunscreen when outdoors and especially if in the water.

I received the Standard Procedure SPF 50+ sunscreen in 8.5 fl oz. It has a very light sunscreen smell to the lotion; nothing too overpowering. The bottle is bigger than most sunscreens I find at the store and still a great size to tuck into your beach bag. The sunscreen is not greasy or sticky after application and leaves no white cast. I usually hate applying sunscreen due to how gross it feels on my skin, but I have not experienced that after using this product. Honestly, it feels more like a lotion than a sunscreen! We recently took this sunscreen on a Bahamian cruise and my entire family used this and got no sunburn at all. I love that this is made in Australia and is cruelty free. I am so glad I found this product because I will be wearing much more sunscreen now. Highly recommended!
