I rarely used aloe vera gel because they were always so thick and left a sticky film on my skin. but this one has the consistency of Aveda’s Confixor Styling gel. It does indeed spread easily, dries immediately and leaves even the roughest skin silky smooth. oddly, while there is no menthol or peppermint added, it has a cooling effect on the skin that hot tired feet find very soothing. while I consider this a moisture retainer more than a moisturiser, it works well to soften wrinkling without the greasy, heavy feel of most moisturizers. I have been using this for a week, twice a day, and while my facial wrinkles haven’t disappeared, they have noticeably plumped up and the dry skin on my feet and legs has visibly improved. By continuing to use a few drops of bath oil in my bubble baths followed by an application of this gel, I am very satisfied with the results I have observed so far on dry flaky skin and with No greasy, shiny film anywhere which I have always found suffocating like too much perfume. I like feeling clean and so far, this seems to be working out well for me. there is No scent to this at all, just a clean, fresh cool feeling after application. I just wish I had thought to try this earlier in the summer and that I had ordered a larger bottle because I think with a few drops of peppermint oil this product could exceed Mama Mia’s Foot and Leg cooling gel and at a considerable savings!! while I liked that product it is ridiculously overpriced for the meager amount you receive. but this is would be a perfect substitute for those without a fortune to spend on constant replenishment. The product is delivered direct from Greenleaf in a very timely manner replete with a follow-up email. I highly recommend this product and supplier!

I have sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin, and my skin LOVES this stuff. It is gentle enough to use on the most sensitive areas of my skin, and softens, soothes, and moisturizes beautifully. I have used this aloe for the following skin complaints, often in combination with essential oils, vitamin E, and other stuff, using the aloe as a base:
-mosquito bites (with lavender oil)
-pimples/blemishes (with tea tree oil)
-rash
-hidradenitis (with tea tree oil)
-dry skin
-sunburn
-itch
-burn (It healed marvelously and barely left a scar. I used the aloe alternately with a salve of coconut oil, vitamin E, and lavender oil.)
-cold sore (With lavender and tea tree)
This stuff is great for making your own concoctions and projects. It is as close to nature as you can get with still having a reasonable shelf life. I work with fresh aloe vera occasionally, as I have my own potted plant of it, and it goes bad INSTANTLY, even in the fridge it usually won’t last twelve hours before it discolors and starts to grow fungus. So, you can’t escape using a preservative. What I like about this stuff is that it doesn’t have a ton of other junk in it, other than just what is needed to keep it fresh and safe to use, which is not true of a lot of aloe vera products out there. “Water” is not the main ingredient here…the main ingredient is ALOE. As it should be!
The only possible con with this that I can see, is that it is very thin. If you are looking for a thick, viscous, gel-like product, this may not be the one for you. It does make it easy to spill some when you are working with it, but luckily it doesn’t stain. On the plus side, it is fast absorbing and you don’t have to really rub it to make it soak in, which is a benefit when you’re using it for irritated skin that really doesn’t want to be rubbed. Just apply it gently and wait a few minutes…you won’t be waiting long.
Conclusion: Where has this been all my life? I want to always have a bottle of this in the house. I recommend this wholeheartedly.

I like the thickness and smoothness of this aftershave product. There isn’t really a scent, which I prefer. And it works great to prevent razor burn.

At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about this aloe gel, because originally i got it to use as a facial moisturizer, but now I’ve used it for a few different things and here what I think. It is great quality, the consistency is about right for aloe gel (I am originally from the Caribbean so aloe was a staple in my life so I’m very familiar with it and it’s uses) as far as a moisturizer, it goes on feeling very watery but absorbs quickly, if you have oily or normal skin it will be fine, if you have dry skin you will probably need to use another moisturizer. I’ve also used it after micro needling and it really helped sooth any discomfort (burning/stinging) right away, it also really reduced the redness very fast. I also used it after doing a professional laser hair removal treatment the other day where I got some Burns from sun exposure, it hurt so much, and the aloe REALLY REALLY helped! And lastly I’ve used it a few times as a lubricant (sorry if this is tmi!) But it is really great for this use, it’s a natural astringent so it MAY help things contract a bit more, and you only need a little, and unlike a lot of other lubricants it keeps things wet without being too much to a point were you start lose some of the sensations of friction. Now dryness isn’t something I have an issue with, so if you have feminine dryness I can’t say how well this will work for you, because I’m not sure how long it last. But I know is very good for feminine health in that area because that’s all women use for any and all issues down “there” especially after giving birth!
