I thought it was a bit steep for the quantity that I was getting. I gave each one a try for a week on my old and new tattoo. Compared to my past experiences of using different products I have noticed I have healed and began to peel in about 2 days after my new tattoo compared to 5-7days like my previous ones. The itching while healing when using Marked IV Life is not as severe as other recommended lotions/ointments. As for my old tattoos it does not bring them back to life like day 1 but it certainly makes them look alot fresher and more vibrant again. As for the scent it was a really soft scent and not too floral like some of the other reviewers complained about. They should include better instructions for those that just got their first tattoos and are not sure whether to use the salve/lotion first or together or whatnot. It would help with getting a better understanding of tattoo care too, well thats just my opinion on the matter

This kit is great. Fun and creative packaging that makes taking care of your ink a little more exciting. Billy Jealousy has been very smart with its tattoo kit, by catering to the scruffy gentleman that walks the street.
The Tattoo Wash smells AMAZING and really helps polish and exfoliate dead skin that may be dulling your tattoo. It’s also gentle enough to use on brand new ink.
The Tattoo Salve is nice, a little goes a long way, but I found that it dried up a lot quicker then Aquaphor, which most tattoo artist and owners swear by. That being said all the natural oils that make up the Salve really do help with the healing process and making sure your ink always looks fresh and moisturized.
The Tattoo Lotion smelled nice, but it was a little heavy on the floral side and can become a bit overpowering if you’re applying it to a larger area. Also it didn’t really make my tattoo pop like I thought it would. Nice consistency, but wouldn’t recommend for new tattoos because of its strong scent.
Once I finish with the kit I would most likely only by the Tattoo Wash because it immediately brightens your tattoo and really does smell amazing. Tattoo Salve is nice as well, but a 2 oz jar should last for at least 6 months.
Overall highly recommend the kit as a great gift.

The smell of the wash is not pleasant it smells like something you would use for a medical procedure. The lotion and salve are just as bad. If they would improve on that these would be better products.

I did a lot of research in the best wash for my new ink. This smells absolutely fantastic! And it conditions your skin like no other product. You get a lot of liquid for your money. My only gripe is that it’s NOT antibacterial (you can see the three infected spots in the second photo). If I could do it again I’d use an antibacterial wash for the first few weeks then switch to this after it peeled.

I’m on my second 8oz bottle after two full day tattoo sessions. This is my go-to lotion to use 2-4 weeks after a new tattoo. Some people correctly noted that the lotion is not good to use immediately after getting ink. I tried using it in the first week and can confirm that it irritates the skin and stings. The salve is meant to be used initially and the lotion in meant to be used later in the healing process.
Once the initial bandage comes off, I recommend only using Hustle Butter for the first few weeks when the tattoo is an open wound. I havent tried the Billy Jealousy salve but that may be a great option also. As the tattoo starts to heal more, I alternate Hustle Butter with this lotion. By week 4, I’m exclusively using this lotion. It’s the perfect consistency so that it is absorbed in my skin within 5 minutes or so and I can lay in bed without it getting all over. When I put it on my back in the morning I wait a few minutes for the lotion the be absorbed and then I can put a t shirt on without making a mess. In the first few months I like to use the lotion a few times a day if possible, but I’ve found that if I put it on in the morning, I can go all day without my skin drying out – and I live in a dry, arid climate.
For back tattoos, a lotion applicator stick came in handy. Readily available on Amazon.
The smell is absolutely fantastic and I never get tired of it. It’s a suitable and pleasing scent for all genders.

I have used several tattoo cremes and lotions, this is my favorite set. I only use the wash on new ink, but I really like the lotion and balm for all my tattoos
