I was on the hunt for a new Vitamin C serum and, having already fallen in love with Vichy Mineral 89 for its hyaluronic acid benefits, I was excited to discover that they also offer a Vitamin C product. However, I hesitated a bit after reading some reviews mentioning that the serum can feel sticky or tacky on the skin.
After doing some further research, I found that this stickiness may actually be a positive trait. I came across a repeated statement on various websites: “High concentrations mean high effectiveness: The stickier the serum, the more effective it is. High concentrations of Vitamin C leave a residue that feels sticky at first but then dries down, getting absorbed into the skin.” While the stickiness can be somewhat irritating, it seems to indicate that the serum is doing its job effectively. I feel like I’m seeing good results.
I ordered the old version, and I’m definitely looking forward to trying the new one when I’m ready to see the results. Overall, I recommend this product!
*Just a quick tip: be careful not to use too much product, as this can increase the tackiness. It’s also important to avoid layering too many products at once. I recommend applying your toner first, followed by the Vitamin C serum, and then moving on to your hyaluronic acid. Make sure to wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before applying the next product, allowing sufficient time for each product to absorb into your skin.

Although I’m not particularly fond of the very liquid consistency, I was aware of this from VICHY’s advertisements. I initially aimed to purchase the version with 1% less ascorbic acid, but with the formula now containing 16%, it seems to be an improvement. I am truly impressed with the results. My skin looks healthy and radiant, with a natural glow. I highly recommend this product for anyone seeking a noticeable boost in skin brightness and vitality.

I have used several Vit C serums. I use them bc dermatologists and estheticians say they are good for the skin. Can I tell a difference when using any of them? No. I consider Vit C serums kind of like sunscreen: you can’t tell a difference, but in a few years, you’ll be glad you used it.
That being said, I received this bottle on May 23, used it for the first time May 24th and I just ran out on Aug 5th. So it lasted me 6 weeks, using it once a day on my face and neck and sometimes décolletage.
The smell of some Vit C serums can be very bad (Timeless), but this one had a light smell which I only noticed the first few times I used it.
It was a bit stingy the first week or so, either when I put it on, or later when I applied moisturizer. I also used some chemical exfoliants and tretinoin at night so that is part of the stinging. Never any redness or rashes though (which I have gotten w other Vit c serums) but my skin adjusted easily. I do NOT have sensitive skin, however. So those who do may want to try a gentler Vit C serum at least at first and maybe work up to this one. (I’ve heard CeraVe Vit C serum is good for beginners).
The lid and the applicator tip on this product are highly annoying. A dropper bottle, a pump, almost anything would be better….the lid is very tiny and fiddly, and you WILL probably lose it at some point. (It’s also clear so hard to see on some surfaces). The advantage of the nozzle is that you won’t dispense more than you need. Still I would prefer a different dispensing method but that’s just a side note.

I like the product, but my package did not include the applicator tip, which has made it a lot messier/more wasteful because I have to either tip it out of the bottle into my hand, or onto a cotton pad. I am using far more than 3- drops each time and my bottle is already 25% gone after 1 month. My skin is less dry, so it is working, but I knocked my rating because I was missing a key piece and quality control should have caught this.

I recently tried a vitamin C serum, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations.—the dropper didn’t function well, making it difficult to dispense the serum without wasting product.
As for the serum itself, it felt sticky and thin. It didn’t absorb well on my skin.
Overall, this vitamin C serum was a huge letdown. I’d recommend skipping this one and investing in a higher-quality product.

El gotero del envase me encanto! Asi no haces tiradero ni desperdicias producto. En cuanto al producto es EXCELENTE! ten en cuenta que una verdadera vitamina C es pegajosa y viscosa y te deja la cara brillosa y tarda en absorberse. Un gran tip es mojarte la cara y manos ligeramente y luego aplicar la vitamina C con la cara y manos mojadas y asi desliza mucho mejor y necesitas menos producto para cubrir hasta el cuello y se absorbe mucho mejor y no te deja brilloso de nada!
