Y’all, I’ve been using Lip Trip since I became a Lifeguard in 1996. I can’t even begin to say enough great things about this product! The wear-ability is unsurpassed: it stays on for hours after other lip balms have gone the way of the Dodobird. Scent-free, taste-free, good SPF, long-lasting; what more could you possibly want from a lip balm? It won’t make you rich, but your lips will be living in the Lip Trip lap of luxury!

This is a decent lip balm with sun protection. My only issue is that I don’t like the strong licorice flavor / scent. I think it is anise. It bothers me enough that I won’t personally reorder.

I’ve spent many years with long days in the outdoors, professionally as well as for recreation, and I’ve tried many kinds of lip balm. This one is hands-down the best for sun protection and the only one I’ll use now. Lip Trip is long-lasting when applied, and it doesn’t melt in your pocket or a hot car. I like that it doesn’t contain petroleum and doesn’t have a strong flavor. One tube lasts for a really long time so it ends up being inexpensive. For moisturizing, I use something else, but for sun protection this has been the best product out there for decades.

I have been in search of a lip balm that works, lasts longer than an hour, and doesn’t dry out my lips afterwards. This was highly recommended by someone who lives in the same dry climate as I do. Unfortunately, it is hard to apply and doesn’t really soothe my cracked lips. I could feel the layer once I swipe it multiple times and it is somewhat protective.

Ok, let me tell a story here. I am an AVID lip picker. If I get nervous, anxious, sad, depressed, scared, worried.. anything that is slightly other than complete 100% happiness, I pick lips. And it’s not like, “oh so cute lip picking”. NO, it’s intense, my lips bleed and I still keep picking them.. my lips BEG FOR MERCY and I still pick. I remember my school teachers yelling at me, my dad’s life mission was to make me stop picking my lips, and my mom slapped me a few times (I’m not from the west so it’s allowed) for picking my lips. I have small sticky notes saying DO NOT PICK LIPS in my car, laptop, water bottle, at work, and in my kitchen everywhere. Nothing and no one has ever stopped me from bleeding my lips. Until one day.. one fine fine day, my roommate dropped this lip balm in my Christmas stocking. When I applied the lip balm, I kid you not, my lips died and resurrected just like Jesus. The next morning, they were smooth like my butt, it was soft and pink.. did it heal overnight? of course not, it’s not magic. But 2 weeks later, I wanted to KISS everyone! that’s how soft my lips felt. Oh my god, I wanted someone to kiss me, so I got myself a boyfriend. Life has been good.. no more bleeding lips, it has been 2 years. Do I still pick my lips, yes occasionally when I’m extra nervous or sad I still do, but nothing this lip balm can’t fix. I have 3-4 of these around my house at any given time. And as soon as I pick my lips I slather it on and the next morning, it’s good as new. Get this lip balm if you want a shot at a better life. Some people might complain that this feels a bit heavy. However, I love that one swipe lasts for hours of moisture & UV protection. And there is never a greasy, gloppy feeling & no weird after taste. Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy outdoor life.
