First, I adore the taxi-yellow box! So attention grabbing! Now, pop this out of the box and give it a swipe.
Do know that you will start to feel a tingle and a slight “burn”: that’s the product going to work. If you’ve ever used Lip Venom, it has that feel. That feeling will last for a bit … kind of like after you eat something spicy. But, your lips will look shiny and smooth!
I like how easily this applies … very buttery! And how you can layer it for just a bit more color. I do like that this is in a convenient tube rather than a lip-gloss format: so much cleaner and easier to use!

○ Concept + graphics – having a unisex (or tbh, it’s more masculine but in a tastefully graphic design way and also just by comparison to the market which is majority fem marketed+branded) intention for beauty products feels inclusive. I’m a cis fem but tbh I don’t always want a super fem beauty product spread. Yes, chapstick exists for all but I kind of appreciate that they’re seeming to provide a more “upscale” option for almost anyone to use. The pink coloring and lipstick shape do make it look a bit fem inside though imo. The bright yellow tube and box are nice though. Just has brand + “ENHANCERS” not like “lipgloss” or “plumper” obviously on it. That’s wonderful and non-alienating
○ Tube works well, clear ingredient list. Love that it’s fragrance free. Is soft but thin application, mildly moisturizing at first…

● …but it is unsuspectingly a trad “plumper” in a tingly and spicy way. This is not going to be comfortable for everyone to use. I mean, I’m used to plumpers but this is still a bit unpleasant for me. Especially since I didn’t personally notice much plumping or color changing weirdly enough sooo it’s especially disappointing
● Not especially moisturizing either tbh, so seeing as it’s not doing plumping or moisturizing too well, I’m a bit underwhelmed?
● I did NOT realize til I came back to review, this says use only once a day! That’s a bit frightening as I’ve been using more than that.. Wish this was more obvious- maybe a removable sticker on the bottle? A more obvious warning on the box??

I wasn’t aware this was PLUMPING until it was too late. The whole listing was touting the moisturizing and hydrating effects as a lip balm, it freaked me out when I used this the first time – I thought I put something spicy on my lips, it burned! It didn’t cause redness or much swelling/plumping but I also didn’t find it terribly hydrating or even useful as an occlusive. The listing should put that in a more easily visible place IMO. It felt like I rubbed some cayenne pepper on my lips, was NOT expecting that.

This leaves my lips feeling distinctly tingly. It has a more intense tingling sensation than many plumping products I’ve used.
However, I find the formula to be very thin and not super nourishing or hydrating. I wish it were a little thicker or creamier. It leaves my lips feeling plumped, but not very nourished.
Finally, I do appreciate the vegan, cruelty-free formula!

This is a really pretty lip balm, not sticky or too thick. Very smooth, no scent and gives a nice boost of hydration to the lips. The tube is nice quality, the outer material feels like rubber but it doesn’t stain and is easy to clean if you have it in your makeup bag.
It does have a plumping effect but it’s a very mild tingling sensation.

I don’t know how I missed it in the description, but this is a plumping gloss. As soon as you put it on, you get the burning tingle that you get with those types of products. It did make my lips appear fuller, but these types of glosses often irritate my lips if I use them too often, so I’m hoping this isn’t the case with this one. I would only recommend this if you don’t have sensitive lips and are specifically seeking a plumping product.
