I don’t hate this lip balm, but I don’t love it either, and for the price ($16.00 as I type) I definiyely would not buy it again. Between the very cold weather we’ve been having lately and indoor heating, my lips have been feeling drier than I am comfortable with. Because of this, I have been applying lip balm several times a day in search of relief. I have a couple of go-to balms I use all the time, both because I enjoy the way they smell/feel and because they have proven effective, but I figured I would give this balm a shot….After several days of consistent use I have decided this balm is ‘okay’ at best. To sum up my opinions on it; I don’t like the way it smells, I don’t really like the way it feels, and I don’t find it particularly effective. First, to me this balm smells weird; kinda like an unscented product that is starting to go ‘off’. Second, I find it feels thick and sort of sticky on my lips. Let’s just say, I am definitely aware of it when I have it on. And third, I don’t feel like this balm hydrates my lips, so much as it coats them. I have been using this product consistently, several times a day for more than a few days now, and I don’t feel like my lips are any less dry than when I first started applying it. They feel okay when I have the balm on, but once it has worn off they are as dry as ever. So bottom line? No, I don’t reccomend it.

No smell, and no scent. Very smooth and not sticky. Moisturizing and very intense too. Not sure, my lips feel a little cool after using this product. No complaints!

I thought I might like this, that it might be a nice, clean “flavor” but it tastes really off somehow. Like it’s old or something. I’ve continued to use lip moisturizers that are past their prime if they keep my lips soft and moisturized but I won’t continue using this one because it just doesn’t do a good job in that department either. After less than 5 minutes my lips feel dry again. This was a total bust. I do wonder though if the “flavor” (which really is such a weird way to describe how it tastes when you inadvertently lick your lips after applying lol) for mine is how it’s actually supposed to be or if I got some old stock or something. I’d hate to think this was what they were going for when they made it!

This Chamomile Intense Moisturizing Lip Balm from beplain is one of my very favorite lip balms – EVER! It is unique not only in the ingredients (which include herbs and oils carefully chosen to provide soothing relief and a moisture barrier) but also the fact that it includes an ‘inner shell’ and a ‘core’ in each tube. So the outer shell is the strong moisturizer, and then you can tell the inner part is softer oils that restore and soothe the lips (this softer oil is held in place by the firmer outer layer). So, when you apply this to your lips, you are getting the benefits of two different types of treatment at once!
I will admit that this product is expensive, but also it does last a very long time. Plus, it works on my chap-prone lips much better than almost any other lip balm I’ve ever tried. So, is it worth a few extra dollars? In my opinion, it most definitely is.

~~ CUSTOMERS NEED FULL TRANSPARENCY OF INGREDIENTS ON THE BUY PAGE. ALLERGIC REACTIONS AND ANAPHYLAXIS ARE NO JOKE. AND THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS DERMATOLOGY TESTED TO BE SAFE FOR EVERYONE: ANYONE CAN BE ALLERGIC TO ANYTHING.
PARDON MY RANT: I’m tired of the lack of transparency in advertising and product descriptions. Ingredients matter, especially for allergies, not just the ingredients companies want to hype. When I ordered this product on 1/11/2022 there was no ingredient list or reviews. I’d just misplaced my new, favorite lip balm and was influenced by the description of dual moisturizer and jelly balm core, plus chamomile isn’t an allergy issue for me. Since it could be delivered the next day, it was an automatic order. Little did I know that the lip balm would practically take a trip around the world to reach me. It went from Kentucky to Portland instead of Los Angeles. There, it was in limbo awaiting a new label (who knows what happened to the old one) before supposedly transferring to the post office for delivery. Every day was another delivery delay, but the package finally arrived yesterday — from UPS, not the post office. If my deliveries are any indication, Amazon is having some serious issues.
But … *deep breath* … my long-awaited lip balm was finally here and I couldn’t wait to use it. Sadly, Amazon put a label over the ingredients on the box, so I was still in the dark about what was in this thing. It’s greasy with a Vaseline-like slickness that I actually like in lip balm. So far, so good. It felt great, and really added a protective moisture barrier on my lips. Best of all, it’s TOTALLY FRAGRANCE FREE.
I noticed part of the box disclaimer (mostly unreadable) was some warning about not getting it in your mouth, or was it not swallowing it? I couldn’t tell, but that set off a mini-alarm bell because how could I keep from eating, drinking, or licking my lips and not get the lip balm in my mouth? I was totally over the “drama of the lip balm” before even writing this review. All I knew when I ordered was it had Chamomile in an intense moisture balm — probably from petrolatum (Vaseline). Now there was suddenly a complete description without a full ingredient list on the product buy page that wasn’t there when I ordered 8 days ago.
What I didn’t know — and NEEDED TO KNOW — is that 3 of the 4 hyped ingredients are huge allergens for me. Sunflower Seed Oil, Safflower Oil (a derivative) and Primrose Oil are like cyanide to me. WTF. I have allergies and sensitivities, but not to every ingredient in the universe. I find that the ones commonly used, like two of these two oils (and soy), are cheap and affordable for companies, but also high on allergen lists. It’s like cheap grease.
Transparency in ingredients can be life and death for customers. It certainly is for me, and I’m not amused when companies fail to fully disclose product ingredients. It’s mandatory in American labelling and should also be the same for foreign products sold in the U.S. I would have known that this product was toxic for me and not ordered it, so I continue to call out companies for their lack of transparency. Before writing this review, I had several breathing episodes today with my airway almost fully closed and me trying to figure out the cause. I never suspected the truth: this lip balm, that I kept reapplying throughout the day and worsening the condition. I spent a half hour steaming my lungs over boiling water to open my airways, before repeating the same process several times. It wasn’t until I started writing this review that I saw the ingredients listed in another review. Several of the ingredients can send me into anaphylactic shock.
Too many ingredients, oils, waxes, and plant extracts like Primrose Oil and meadowfoam. I’m surprised I didn’t pass out and stop breathing completely. I reapplied the lip balm again before starting this review and felt like I was breathing through a pinhole. I’ve since scrubbed off the lip balm and taken medicine. All of this could have been avoided by simple transparency of ingredients. Amazon needs to start insisting upon it. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This lip balm works okay for me, but it’s not a standout. The texture is nice, fairly smooth, goes on easily, and isn’t overly waxy. The effectiveness is okay as long as you don’t eat or drink anything that causes it to be removed; in other words, it adds a protective layer to help keep moisture in, but it doesn’t seem to add any moisture itself. There is no particular flavor or fragrance other than what I would call “natural.” Typically I try not to rank cost too high when assessing a product because I figure that doesn’t determine effectiveness and it’s everyone’s own opinion what constitutes a thrifty price and what price is expensive. However, I have to say that there has not been a lip balm invented at any effectiveness level that I would pay this much for. I’d go back to plain Vaseline first.

I have tried a lot of lip balms, and this one is by far the best one.
The balm comes in a nice applicator container. It’s a soft balm overall, with the center being the softest. It is easy to apply, and it’s effective for a long time before requiring reapplication.
This balm does a wonderful job of protecting my lips from drying out and cracking. I use it everyday, especially at night before I sleep. It doesn’t really have a scent or taste, and it doesn’t cause me any irritations.
This is excellent quality lip balm that is exactly as described.

This lip balm is super moisturizing! I just swiped once and my lips feel like they’ve been drenched with a moisturizer. There is no scent or taste to this at all. It seems there are many different oils in this such as sunflower, safflower, evening primrose, etc. I really like this lip balm and how it makes my lips feel. This is now one of my top favorite lip balms because it really keeps my lips moisturized and soft.
The box packaging is mostly in Korean, and there is no ingredients list printed on it. I had to do a little digging and found the ingredients list from another place. It isn’t posted here yet so I will go ahead and post it:

I like this lip balm. It’s smooth, creamy and soothing for dry lips. It’s very moisturizing and has no discernable scent or flavor. It lasts about an hour before needing to reapply.

As a guy, I usually would not wear lip balm. However their description of a dual core advanced formula had me intrigued. Surprisingly, I love this item as it’s super moisturizing while maintaining a very fresh feeling. My wife also uses it as a lip sleeping mask at night. (So it has multiple uses.) Anyways, I was very surprised by this Korean brand and would continue to explore more of their products.
