My lips get very chapped in the winter, and I’m always on the look out for a good lip balm. I started paying more attention to the ingredients in my lip balms a couple of years ago, so I thought I would give this one a try.
The tube arrived and I opened it and the balm looked like it had melted a bit in transit, but it was still usable. There was a top layer that I peeled off and threw away (I thought it might be a piece of paper protecting the balm, but after I peeled it off, I think it was actually just some of the balm).
I want to like this balm. I love the way it smells. I applied it, and I could immediately tell there was cocoa butter. Unfortunately, rather than sit on top of my lips and feel soft and smooth, this instantly melted and felt oily. I wiped it off and put my normal lip balm on instead.
I tried it a second time, thinking maybe it was my apartment that was too warm (my apartment is not hotter than my lips, though). The same thing happened, it felt oily, I wiped it off, I put on my normal lip balm.
This might work for some people, but I can’t get past the texture and oily sensation on my lips, and it just doesn’t work for me.

This lip balm is a very nice, high-quality vegan formula. I really appreciate that it doesn’t contain any artificial flavors or sweeteners… It’s hard to get away from those sweeteners in lip balm!
The smell and taste are very pleasant… It’s like a rich cocoa flavor.
The balm offers instant relief from dry lips. I especially like applying it after I brush my teeth, when my lips are uncomfortably tight from the toothpaste.
Within just a couple of seconds, the heat of your lips will warm the balm so that it’s effortless to apply. No tugging or smashing the stick into your lips, just to get the job done.
The only suggestion I would have to the company is this: please try to extend the sticker onto the cap , so that it acts like a safety seal. That would offer a little more security on the product.
Overall, I would definitely re-purchase this lip balm. It’s natural, comfortable and vegan. I also like that they chose a unique color scheme for the tube.. it helps make it stand out when I’m digging for it in my bag!

I grabbed this on my way out the door for work and, shortly after getting to work, I was stepping into a meeting and opened the container to put on my lips and instead ended up with balm all over my face and hand – it had melted so much just in my pocket that I had to leave it sitting upright until it solidified again. So don’t put it in a pocket. That said, it did feel great and had a nice smell. Good if you can keep it in a purse or someplace a little cooler.

UPDATE: Though I still like the way my lips felt when using this balm, it has turned “bad” and within the past week. I have never taken this tube off of my desk/work area, never has left the dining room. Handy to use and used every single night. However, it has turned to a rancid color, feels gritty on my lips, and looks, hard to describe, like crumbly dried-out playdough. That’s the best similar description that comes to mind. Really sad, since I liked it. But tried it again tonight – NOPE! It is in the trash. I am not a fan the cucumber/melon version that I’ve gotten at the dentist office but I’ll use it over this balm. Sad when instead of increasing stars, I’m taking them away.
I never before have had such a lip balm like this! It almost feels as if it melts onto my lips. Very moisturizing and seems to last for quite a while. I think this will be quite nice to use during the winter, especially if you have any cracks in your lips since it goes on so smoothly. But there is one issue – since this seem to melt when it touches my lips, I doubt that I will be sticking this into any pocket. I think it will be a melted mess if in a pocket. I really don’t pick up a scent nor a taste. I thought the current price of about $8 for the regular lip balm size tube was a little pricey. But then I checked the prices on some better lip balms on the Walmart site and was surprised to find it within the same general price range. Would make a “fancy” stocking stuffer – Christmas is now only 50 days away.

A very hydrating lip balm that goes on easily. The only reason I deduct a star is that it takes a bit of time for it to soak in, leaving your lips feel a little bit greasy for a moment. But once it does soak in the lips are incredibly hydrated. Living in a desert climate, there is a lot of dry lip that occurs. Having something like this is a gift. Again, it would be nice if it could absorb a little quicker, but the fact that it works and last for at least an hour is a very nice thing. Definitely worth the investment.

This product is amazing. Super hydrating and long lasting. My wife and daughters are into more natural and simple products and this lip balm did not disappoint, it will become a regular for everyone in our house!

This is a rich, creamy balm that feels soothing on my lips. It is moisturizing, lasts an hour or so, and has a pleasant taste. It comes in a tiny tube, like a chap stick. From the cost at the time of my order (7.99), I was expecting something a little larger.

Item arrived without any seal around the lid ensuring it was a new, unused, untampered with product. Preventing me from trusting it and wanting to use it. Wasn’t in any other packaging to make me feel comfortable that it’s new.
