I have oily skin with a few dry patches here and there. Nothing too bad. Clay masks usually work well for me, and while they do strip my skin – i never feel as though my skin feels tight. This clay mask made it feel tight. Which was odd. I have used this about 3 times in total before I couldn’t stand it anymore. It just made my skin feel SO tight, even after I moisturized my skin. i suppose this product is very stripping. On the bright side, it did get rid of some of my acne. But I wont be continuing using this simply because it is way too drying.

I like to use this mask before I shower! When you apply it, it’s a spreadable grey-green ckay mask with some darker green bits that I think are plant matter. They help act as a gentle scrub. The mask clears your pores and offers a nice, calming effect to the skin (my face was less red after using it). As a bonus, it smells like green tea.
Because it’s a clay mask, I only used it for a few minutes before hopping in the shower to wash it off. I think this helped prevent a tight feeling to my skin, which some people talked about. I also think it’s more appropriate to use only on the oily areas of your skin.

I decided to try this mask because I’m familiar with Pyunkang Yul and I love their hydrating toner. I definitely liked this mask but I wasn’t absolutely blown away by it, but then again I am pretty picky when it comes to masks. In the past most of the clay based masks I’ve used have been in dry form that you mix with water yourself, but I have found those to be pretty drying so I don’t use them very often. I was pleasantly surprised that while this mask had one if it’s base ingredients as bentonite clay, it didn’t leave my combination skin feeling super dry, it actually left it feeling relatively well moisturized. It didn’t irritate my skin at all and has a mild green tea scent. I do feel like for the price, and the amount I used to adequately cover my face, it isn’t as good of a value as the ones that are sold dry, but because I liked it better, I would consider purchasing it again.
