This sunscreen offers a promising start, but falls short of expectations. The lotion-like consistency makes application a breeze, gliding smoothly onto the face without any heavy or thick feeling. No dreaded white cast here! It absorbs quickly, eliminating the need for excessive rubbing and blending.
However, the claim of a “non-greasy and fast-absorbing formula” is misleading. A slightly sticky, greasy residue lingers on the skin for a few hours after application. While this might be common for some sunscreens, it contradicts the product’s description, making it a noteworthy drawback.

I don’t know what is special about a rice probiotic sunscreen, but I ordered this 50 ml bottle before an international trip when I needed something in a carryon size, and it worked probably a little better than expected. I spent two weeks hiking and exploring mostly outdoors destinations in central Europe in July and this little bottle did pretty well for the first half of my trip. It looks and feels like regular sunscreen but is a little less sticky than the stuff I grew up with once it is rubbed into the skin. It fit easily into my toiletries bag washed off easily with soap and water in the evenings. I will note that I actually ordered two different bottles of Rice Probiotic sunscreen, and this one was a little runnier and also had a wider mouth than the other one, so I ended up with a little more sunscreen than I needed a couple times–if you’re just planning to dab sunscreen lightly, this bottle may make it harder to monitor the volume of sunscreen you are using. But overall it was a perfectly competent product and I would be happy to use it again.

Ingredients: got this sunscreen to try because I thought it was going to be more of a natural sunscreen after seeing the word “Organic” in the title of the description of this product. Companies can pretty much label any product as Organic it seems, but you really need to look for the USDA Organic label if you want to be sure. I was unable to find a full ingredients list in the product description prior to ordering, either. I posted photo’s of the box for your review.
Consistency: This sunscreen is very liquidy. It comes out fast if you aren’t careful. Perhaps a little goes a long way, but these are smaller sized tubes that may get used up quickly if used often.

I like this sunscreen so far, but don’t love it. I like that it applies like a lotion, it’s not very thick and it’s easy to put on and rub around your face. You aren’t left with any whitecasting which is always nice. It feels like it absorbs pretty easily too, you don’t need to spend a bunch of time working it into your skin like you do with other sunscreens. However, it did leave a slightly sticky, greasy layer of residue on my skin, which sticks around for a few hours. This is normally to be expected with sunscreens, you can usually feel it on your skin, but the description says “Crafted with a non-greasy and fast-absorbing formula, our sunscreen provides broad-spectrum protection without leaving a sticky residue”, so I felt the need to bring this up.

This is a thick texture but rubs in nicely if you don’t use too much. It works well on my sensitive skin. It’s nice to find a sunscreen that’s healthier.
