These FASHIONARI Moolinse Deep Bio-Collagen Facial Hydrogel Masks act in a combination of ways to treat, smooth, relax, and retrain your involuntary facial muscle movements while you sleep, leaving your skin protected, deeply hydrated with collagen, and giving it a respite for hours from any habitual frowning, pursing, or wrinkling.
The masks arrive in a sealed, well designed box (that will arrive securely) and come in two parts (better for isolating the upper and lower facial muscle areas), each set packaged in a sterile envelope; there are 5 envelopes to a package ($14.99 at order/review, or $3 for each overnight treatment, which in my experience is a very good value). If you are like me, I begin my PM skincare routine before going to bed, and learned that it is best to apply only the top mask during anytime that you won’t be sleeping. The reason for this is that as the mask dries and conforms to your facial planes it will harden and form a seal; if you want to talk, snack, or drink while the lower mask is trying to do it’s work on your mouth/chin area that muscular movement can break that seal and prohibit the mask from doing its best work.
It takes a knack to first work with the masks. Cleanse your face, tone, and if you use a vitamin C or other non-oily serum that would be fine, but let it be absorbed before arranging the mask in place. When you first remove an upper mask from its envelope it will be dripping in collagen treatment–don’t let that go down the drain! catch what you can in your hand and smooth it over neck, decolletage, hands, arms, anywhere because this fluid will treat and hydrate on its own. Slightly lean your head back and lay the upper mask in place on your forehead, moving it and patting into place around your eyes and nose. At first it is very slippery, just give it a few minutes to set and bond with your face while you maneuver it into position; as it dries a bit it will adhere. While this is happening you can pour a bit more of the fluid from the envelope and use its moisturizing benefits elsewhere. There is a LOT, and I even use it on my legs. Then, I close the envelope with a clip, go about doing whatever to prepare for bed, then ONLY just before I’m ready to sleep do I apply the lower mask using the same technique. We naturally move our lower face more, but the more you talk, etc. the less the mask will bond around your mouth chin and and naso-labial folds (where most of us want help the most). I usually read, listen, or watch something as I fall asleep and stay on my back with head elevated as the mask dries. Overnight it hardens, seals in the treatments, protects from losing any moisture at all to air-conditioning/heating/fans, smooths your face, and resists any involuntary facial muscle movements through the night. In the morning rinse with cool water, remove, tone, and apply whatever day treatment you use.
I really like these, especially after I learned how to properly use them. Sometimes I even use an upper face mask while I do my nails, or bills (gak), or light housework.

I have worn masks in the past. This one tore when I gently tried to rub it in place around my nose. Followed the instructions. Washed my face put on my night creams. Slight burning. This is not something you can sleep in. It is very slimy. I am extremely disappointed in this product.

These masks are different than normal masks because they are 2 parts. That is both good and bad. The bad is that it makes it hard to keep it on at first. The good is that it works better for more face shapes and sizes. The masks worked like a normal mask other than that. One problem was the eye holes were not big enough. They were like bordering on way too small actually. The other problem was getting the nose area to stay down. We never accomplished that actually. It just sat there bridged. We were too worried about it ripping while getting it to stay down. Not a terrible price per, which is why Im leaving it at 4 stars instead of 3.

I love this face mask. I did a much better job applying it on the second night. It is a very thin mask that is easy to tear. It has a lot of serum on it, and plenty extra in the bag. You have to be very gentle applying it, I found it helpful to use a jade face roller over it, to eliminate any air bubbles and move it on your face to the proper position. The mask didn’t stick to the roller like it did to my fingers when I tried using my fingers to “rearrange” the mask. Save the bottom half of your mask to apply right before bed, after you’ve brushed your teeth. After a few minutes drying to your face, it will no longer move around, and becomes stiff against your skin. By morning the mask is almost transparent and thin, and peels off easily like dry paper. It feels wonderful, and the results are obvious. It is very moisturizing and refreshing. It is very easy to sleep in. Although I can fall asleep on my back, I do toss and turn a lot, and sleep mainly on my side. This mask stays on all night.
