I have had this for about 72 hours and love it. I’ve used this basically solo for the two of the days that I didn’t wear makeup at all (working from home and gave my skin a break lol!) and it feels super light but still very softening on the skin. I’ve been using a little in the morning but I’ll probably mostly use this at night. I cleanse, do a light daily exfoliant and apply while my face is generally still damp. It absorbs/ dries quickly which is always nice. When I remove my makeup at night I do pretty much the same thing. Remove makeup with coconut oil, cleanse, serum. A little does go a long way, however if I find that I have too much I just spread it over my neck and chest – surprisingly this is easy to do because the product is lightweight/ watery (like *watery* in the best way possible) enough to spread around. Not drippy by any means and your skin feels sooo good after using. I was initially impressed by the great reviews I’ve seen on this product and am so not glad I went ahead and bought it. Mine came with two pumps, too! Because it’s 8oz I probably won’t have to replace for a few months and for the value especially it’s awesome. I’d definitely buy again and am looking forward to trying out their other products!

The price is fantastic, the pH (slightly acid, 4ish) means it’ll be effectively absorbed into your skin, and you get a whopping 8 oz.! Most Vit. C serums are 1 oz. for $20.
I’ve actually never felt a Vit. C/hyaluronic acid serum absorb so well into my skin. It absolutely does not leave a filmy finish afterwards, and it’s quite unique in that it feels like it completely “evaporates” by the time you finish massaging it into your skin (although I’m sure it’s just being absorbed very well, hence the “did it… evaporate…?” feeling). There is truly nothing left on the surface of your skin after it is absorbed, and it leaves your skin feeling very well-hydrated.
As for results, it has definitely faded my dark spots. I haven’t looked too much into the research behind this, but apparently Vit. C is great for wound-healing as well. It might just be me, but when I use this on my face after I’ve picked at my acne (which I DON’T recommend doing unless you use a sanitized acne tool kit, gloves, etc.), I do think that my popped pimples heal faster and the dark spots fade much quicker. I can’t really say how well this product works for wrinkles as I’m in my early 20’s and don’t have any yet.
I really, HIGHLY recommend this product if you want something that will hydrate your skin without leaving a film behind, and also fade your dark spots. 🙂

After using another brand of Vitamin C serum, I decided to try Asterwood Vitamin C serum. It meets all my expectation with a clearer more evenly toned complexion, is cruelty free, made in the USA, and is a great price. There is no fragrance or stickiness and the thickness is perfect for a serum. I use it daily and really wish it would come in a 2 Oz bottle, but it only comes in 1 Oz and 8 Oz bottles. I purchase the 1 Oz on Subscribe and Save. The 8 Oz size bottle would be too large for my space.

This serum is perfect for those with oily skin. It gives a tight feel and makes my skin look great the next morning. I like it better than all the expensive brands I’ve tried. The value can’t be beat.
SHOE ADDICT 1982 –
I used this as an add-in ingredient to my at home aloe vera mask. In combo with vitamin E oil, fresh aloe gel from the leaf, and this serum; I apply it as a 10 minute mask and then wipe off. I suffer from a mild case of hirsutism (male pattern hair growth in females; namely chin hair). Due to my obsession with tweezing the hairs, I have created a very hyperpigmented and irritated chin with broken skin. This 3 ingredient mask has done an amazing job at healing my skin! Other ingredients in the serum include: distilled water, organic/vegan hyaluronic acid (treats burns/skin ulcers), phenoxyethanol (<2% antibacterial preservative), benzoic acid (prevents infection), and dehydroacetic acid (preservative that fights fungi). After just two same day applications (of my created mask), I could immediately see healing to my chin area. As a stand alone serum, it took longer to achieve similar results. Conclusively, the aloe definitely gave the serum a boost, but the serum boasts some beneficial ingredients as an add on to diy mixes.
