    This heavily perfumed cleanser is not for me. It does leave skin feeling super soft and smooth and is probably a good cleanser for all but the oiliest and driest skin types. But the extremely heavy fragrance is a turn off, especially for anyone with sensitive skin types. Principal Secret began with truly fragrance free products then started adding some fragrant citrus extracts in their Advanced Line but now this is just straight up perfumed. Since there is decades of research indicating how bad fragrance is for skin, it boggles the mind that Principal Secret would be taking a step backwards (especially when they are at the cutting edge when it comes to using peptides in skincare).

    I guess when you market a product with “Botanicals” in the name, customers expect a fresh floral scent? And by the way, a quick look at the ingredients list shows that there is very little that can be called botanical in this cleanser; in fact, the scent comes from a blend of synthetic lab produced ingredients.

    Last warning: this states you can use this around the eye area but I’d proceed with serious caution as this heavily perfumed product can easily get into the eyes when you are rinsing (if not extremely careful). And you probably already know that perfume, even tiny amounts, that might get into the corner of your eye can be a very painful experience.
