This gel mask took about 90 minutes to fully chill down in the freezer. It slips onto the face easily and adjusts with a velcro enclosure. The cold can get very very intense at first–I actually needed to let it warm up a little before I could leave it on my face for longer than 30 seconds. Not sure if it did anything for puffy eyes, but it did help soothe my headache. The material of the mask is smooth and stretchy. It hugs your head to hold the mask snug against your forehead and eye area. It retained its cool temperature for roughly 20 minutes or so–the exact time you should use cold therapy. Any longer than 15-20 minutes and you are not getting any more benefit from the cold compress. The 90 minute freeze cycle is just the right amount of time to then reapply the mask to benefit again. No complaints–well constructed, good materials, does what it should.

The texture and size is fantastic, it’s very squishy soft and comes out of the deep freezer incredibly cold. That ice coldness lasts about 10 min and then it is comfortably cool for another 15 or so. So it does lose coldness quickly, so I won’t be buying another, but it’s a soft addition to my migraine treatments.

I am so glad I purchased this! I get migraines very often so I’ve tried just about every migraine product out there. I don’t like the ones you pull over your head, I have very thick curly hair and it just doesn’t work. This one however is adjustable. The ice part doesn’t go all the way around like the pull down ones but I prefer that I can adjust it to how tight or loose I need it. I’ll probably buy another one to have a backup.

I really like this heat/cooling mask. Cool is my favorite way to use it. Directions say to put it in the freezer, but I’m happy with the temperature after it has been in the refrigerator. I have used it for multiple uses like headaches and jaw aches from clenching my teeth. I really like the weight of it due to the gel.
I’m very pleased, and for what is such a relatively simple item, I love it.

Feels nice. Covers a lot of my face and, from the refrigerator it is cold enough and stays cold long enough for me. This is also the only cold mask I saw that was gel foam- NOT a liquid pack that can rupture, so this is more durable than other options.
My only complaint is that the velcro strips stop way short, so it can’t be fully tightened on my head. So it only stays on lying down or with headphones on over it or something. It needs to be more adjustable.

I have a variety of headache hats in my freezer. I like keeping multiple on hand. Some are true hats that cover the entire head, some have a hole at the top, and I have one that just pulls down over the eyes. None of them are adjustable.
This is obviously not a hat but a mask and I love that it has velcro so you can adjust the fit. Sometimes I want more pressure on my eyes, sometimes not. I love having the option of changing the size.
When stored in the freezer, it comes out VERY cold. You may want to wait a couple minutes before using it. The cold lasts about 20-30 minutes. I have not used it heated so I cannot speak to how long it stays warm.
I would recommend, if you have longer hair, either securing it with a hair tie or adjusting the mask’s velcro away from your hair. I found my hair got caught in it when I tried to adjust it in the back of my head. I’ll probably just put it on so the velcro is in front, by my face, adjust it and then rotate it to the back to avoid the problem in the future.
Overall I definitely recommend!
