I use this castor oil for my hair. Since this is unrefined, be prepared for it to be a very thick consistency! It is almost the consistency of syrup. This is not a problem though, as it just means the oil is a high quality one. Because of the thickness, this is the type of hair oil that I apply 45 minutes before I shower and then rinse out- it would be too thick to leave in your hair as a moisturizer. I do notice a difference in my and my daughter’s hair with dandruff control when we use it in this manner.

I think there is a mistake on some of the pictures where it shows “Jamaican black castor oil”. Black castor oil has the ash of the roasted bean added back in for a dark color. This is NOT that. They both have their uses but the black versions usually smell pretty strong. This is excellent cold pressed castor oil, very rich and creamy and feels very good on the skin and hair. I love using this all year and the bottle/dropper is easy to store and use, and the box it came in is secure and protected the glass well during shipping.
