Pretty good lotion. Smells good and leaves my skin soft.

I like how this body milk with geranium and ylang tang moisturizes my dry skin for several hours. It may not be all day but it does get the grunt work done. As for the scent, it is not my favorite but it is tolerable and more on my “like” side if that makes sense. It is not terrible, just not my personal taste in terms of scents. The consistency is nice and not too sticky and I like how it comes in a great quantity. Not too little and not too much. The bottle design makes it easy to control how much product you want to use and I like it so far.

At the time of this review, I’ve read the other 18 reviews of this product. Apparently, I’m an oddball because I really, really enjoy the scent! I can see it not being for everyone but still kind of surprised at some of the reviews. I think it is a lovely, balanced blend and I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s a little earthy, a little fruity and a little bit floral.

This product is deeply moisturizing. It does leave your hands a little oily but when my hands are really dry, that’s the kind of thing I reach for. I think I would not use this product up by using as a body moisturizer, I want it just for my hands. It is not something I would recommend someone keeping on a desk at work because of the oiliness. But, if you are relaxing at home, that is the perfect time to indulge. When I tried it out, I just kept rubbing my hands together, appreciating how nice all of those oils were feeling on my skin. It eventually worked in, leaving behind just a little sheen.

I don’t normally comment on the price of items but I am definitely unsure why this product is so expensive. I love the product but the price is a little much.

Maybe I am crazy, but this lotion smells hippie-dippie to me. I have been in yoga studios that smell earthy and like a lot of essential oils, and that is what this scent makes me think of. I hate to say that I was not a fan of the smell. It absorbed quickly. I mean very quickly. That surprised me. I tried using it a few different days to see how well it felt like it moisturized. I used it on one arm and hand and not on the other one so I would have a “control” side. I could not tell a difference in my skin. I wish I could say otherwise, but I just didn’t.

I like the ingredients–good quality and natural. The lotion is nice and light and absorbs easily. Unfortunately, the smell is not for me. I like geranium, and I like ylang ylang when it’s used delicately, but they don’t seem to pair well together here, and the ylang ylang is overpowering. It’s just too heavy handed of a scent.

  6. DC

Even though the ingredients are mostly organic, there sre a lof different ingredients in this lotion. The scent is not the greatest, but I don’t hate it. The scent is really strong and it may not be for everyone. The lotion comes in a pump 8 fl oz bottle. It doesn’t absorb that quick and my skin feelsba little stick for a little while until colpletetly absorbed. I wouldn’t purchase again.

Love this scent but lotion takes a bit longer to tu. And absorb

  8. Ms. Bee

To start with, this lotion is full of all kinds of wonderful ingredients that are natural and great for your skin, like aloe, coconut oil, shea butter, etc. And having worked as a professional aromatherapist for some years, I can tell you that it definitely smells exactly like what they claim, geranium and ylang ylang. The problem, I think, is the proportions in which they blended it, and what else they added to it. Geranium can be a very overpowering scent, and the ylang ylang is buried by it so that it is barely an under note. I think one mistake they might have made was the addition of petigrain, (that’s the oil of the bitter orange twigs and leaves), which is used very commonly in skin care products and colognes, but I think they should have left it out here, because when mixed with geranium it somehow makes the geranium even stronger, greener, and more woody, so that you almost completely lose any of the sweetness or warmth of the ylang ylang, which would have balanced it out some and probably made it a lot more pleasant and palatable to the noses of more people. Adding the bergamot oil to the blend was not a bad idea; but they probably should have left it at that, left out the petigrain entirely, and perhaps either used a little less geranium or a little more ylang ylang to change the balance.

The smell is VERY strong when you first put it on, probably far too strong for the taste of most people, and then it fades to almost nothing within an hour or so. I think most people, myself included, would prefer more of a happy medium, something that’s not quite so overpowering when you first apply it, but that perhaps leaves a little scent lingering for at least a few hours.

And lastly, even though it contains some very nice natural ingredients and is moisturizing to the skin, I think the bottle is comically small for the price. We’re talking coconut, aloe, and shea, not gold flakes.

After consulting with my own nose, and reading the reviews of others, I would suggest that this company’s chemists go back to the drawing board and tweak the formula a bit.

And then perhaps lower the price just a bit.

But you might want to hold off on purchasing this until they do.
