UPDATE:
So, after trying it for a few weeks, my daughter decided she likes the effect it has on her skin. Her acne is not as bad, and new pimples go away very fast when she uses this lotion alternatively with mud masks overnight as a spot treatment. She got used to the smell, and thinks the lotion even makes her skin glow in the morning cause the pimples are not there anymore.

Got this for my teen struggling with on and off acne. She uses some other things for active ourbreaks, and we thought this might be an interesting product to try.
It is made in India, the ingredients could be somewhat better, but at least it doesn’t have 100 things on the ingredients list.
The lotion is a lotion, it absorbs eventually, and should be applied once to twice a day according to the directions, but because the smell is so terrible, my daughter couldn’t keep it on her face for too long. She actually had to wash it off when she applied it in the morning cause of the smell. Also, she accidentally got it around her eye area while touching her face, and it irritated her eyes so badly, she couldn’t see.
She decided to try it overnight when she’s asleep and doesn’t have to smell it much, and she’s been trying it for a few days this way. The acne is not getting worse at least so that’s a plus, and only time will tell if it’s going to actually do anything for her problem. So far nothing to write home about.
Other than that, the product came in a nice box with all the information provided, plus the expiration date. It actually gives you the manufacturing day and says that the product is good for 24 months since manufacturing.

This drying lotion works well and the fragrance is not too strong but it has parabens in the ingredients that I wish weren’t there along with the fragrance.

This review is for, “Salve Acne Drying Lotion”. The first ingredient in this product is calamine and it has that look and smell. Calamine is known for helping with blemishes because it has drying and anti-inflammatory properties and is also an antiseptic. It seems to be helping.

This lotion has been useful when we put it on right before bed, it seems to help overnight. It has a scent that we don’t love but is tolerable.

This lotion is similar to calamine lotion but better. I use it on everything, as it dries spots up quickly. I bring it on vacations, like camping or to the beach. I love it.

This lotion is great to manage signs of skin breakouts and inflammation. Its easy to apply and doesn’t sting. Its a bit strong and works well for night time. It does help reduce the redness which is very helpful.
