I loved the scrub!
Pros: It smells like a little bit like coffee, not overpowering. Easy to use and organic ingredients is a huge plus especially because it’s rubbing it into my skin. I used it in the shower and perhaps its placebo but I feel like it had an immediate effect!
Cons: So when I excitedly opened the product, a good amount of it flew out… I spent a while vacuuming and cleaning it up. Be careful when you open! I realized the large opening is just inconvenient altogether, when I grab some in the shower, it’ll just wet everything.
Great product in my opinion and I recommend it!

When I removed the safety seal from Irene Organics Exfoliating Body Scrub, I was stunned to find that the 8oz tub bottle that I received was 1/3 full. Had I not broken the safety seal on the product myself, I would have thought that it was a used product. This was an incredibly disappointing way to be introduced to this scrub. The scrub has an intoxicating and inviting aroma of coffee. As a fan of coffee, this was a delightful fragrance for me. It is a medium grit scrub with a dark brown and black speckled color and a shiny and noticeable amount of oil. It has a comfortable scrub that exfoliates my skin thoroughly without causing redness or irritation. When rinsed off, there was an oily feeling to my skin but once I had toweled off, my skin felt incredibly soft and smooth. It is a wonderful product which makes it all the more disappointing that this bottle was 2/3 empty when I received it. The ingredients are clean, recognizable, and pronounceable including Dead Sea Salt, Coffee Arabica, Glycerin, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Oat Kernel Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Vitamin E Oil, and Sunflower Seed Oil. It is a cruelty-free product that is Manufactured in the USA. I did not experience any skin irritations, redness, or breakouts when using this product. Overall, I really liked this product and felt it did a fantastic job but knowing that I got a 1/3 full jar is upsetting and a sign that the manufacturer needs to do a product control check prior to safety sealing their products.

I liked this scrub, but did NOT like the scent. It’s funny because the coffee is what attracted me to this in the first place.
The scent is VERY strong. It gave me a headache.
The container also delivered without a seal on the jar. The oil had leaked all into the package.
I used it with a scrub glove and I like the way it made my skin feel, I just couldn’t tolerate the strong scent.

I am a huge body scrub person and if you look in my bathroom you’ll see many jars of body scrub. Although I’m currently not pregnant or in the postpartum phase, I can’t see why I can’t benefit from this product. I did use Irene Organics product when I was expecting and loved it, which is why when I saw this I was excited to try it out.
This scrub isn’t a huge jar, but as soon as you open it you get a whiff of the fragrant coffee smell. I’ve used numerous coffee scrubs and sometimes they come off smelling a little chemical or weird, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how this one smells. It smells like coffee in the way I expect all coffee based body scrubs to smell like. It just smells fresh and aromatic, not like stale coffee or synthetic coffee scent.
The scrub is on the drier side, so while it has oils, it isn’t sitting in a pool of oil. You don’t really see the oils but after using this scrub you’ll see a layer of oil on your skin. It does leave a slightly greasy residue but I didn’t hate it and I’m glad my dry legs are getting some moisture. I didn’t want to waste this and have most of it fall onto the shower floor so I added some water to give it more of a paste like consistency, which made it easier to apply.
I can’t speak on how well this works for cellulite, stretch marks, scars, etc but it did a good job of sloughing off my dead skin and helped to prevent ingrown hair. Although this is a brand geared towards expectant moms, anyone can use this wonderful scrub. I absolutely loved the coffee smell on this one, it is one of the fresher smelling coffee scents I’ve come across.

This scrub actually smells pretty strongly like coffee, I really like the scent. Literally smells like a Starbucks in Heaven.
It left my skin feeling nice, soft and moisturized after use. It works very well at exfoliating skin before shaving my legs. I will say that this is the first loose scrub that I’ve had, it is a little harder to use.
I also really appreciate that this product is cruelty free and organic.
Overall – I do think it’s a little higher priced, but I do think some people will find that it is worth it since it’s organic and cruelty free. I’m not sure how much it helps removing scars and cellulite, but it is a good scrub. I would recommend this product.

This body scrub certainly does smell like coffee. If you love the scent of coffee, you definitely need this. It has great exfoliating material that has an added oil of some kind which prevents your skin from getting dried out by the exfoliation. It is rather coarse so I haven’t used it on my face yet. But on my legs it worked wonderfully and left them feeling squeaky clean. I’d recommend this scrub if you need an exfoliator that doesn’t dry you out too much. And you need to like coffee.

I love coffee. I’m definitely a caffeine addict lol so I drink coffee quite often and have read about the benefits of caffeine being used topically to brighten and circulate. This smells like straight up coffee in a can or pouch. It’s got good grit thanks to the salt and grounds, and while it’s probably not gonna be a miracle worker, it did help moisturize my skin, even after it was rinsed. Probably because of the oil. I plan to continue using this before shaving and especially on my legs. If I notice any miracles at work, I’ll come back, but realistically it’s just a scrub. A good one, especially for coffee lovers, but from experience I know this won’t do much beyond exfoliation and moisturizing.
