I’ve pretty much tried every variety of the soaps over the years and have gifted several sets as well.
Some variants do emanate some aroma but they fade once you unbox them fairly quickly.
Chlorinated city water in showers may result in over-stripping of natural body oil and leaving your skin dry, but this soap counters that effect and leave you feel super clean and moisturized. Its effect is felt many hours after you have showered. Therefore it is great for relaxing and stress reduction.
The big plus is that it doesn’t include artificial dyes, odors or ingredients. They also last a remarkably long time.
I hate wasting anything. Once they do get too small to be handled, I chopped them finely and use them as a detergent for laundry or make liquid hand washers.
The only issue is that you have to cut them in half to get a more manageable block size that is easier to handle. Nothing that a sharp knife can’t handle.

I started using this soap on my face about 2 years ago. Within a short time frame, it was all my skin needed to treat the terrible hormonal/stress breakouts, mostly on my chin, that other facial cleansers didn’t help at all.
I truly believe this soap, saved my skin!

I’ve seen a lot of black soap products at the health food store and online this one is very smooth gentle on my skin it doesn’t have any products in it to be scratchy like some of them.
I have a sensitivity to chemicals fragrances and soaps and this is a nice one I don’t think that I will order it again it’s not that special but I wanted to try it. And if you do have sensitive skin it’s probably worth a good try. I don’t think it makes my skin any drier than it already is I would have to use a moisturizer anyway. But I would think if you have oily skin it could also help to neutralize that as well it’s just a good pH balance type soap I think would be good for all skin there is no soapy residue after using. It also maintains its Integrity as a soap bar if it’s sitting in a Soapdish it doesn’t waste soap like some soap bars do

This is the best soap ever. I had purchased it before at a TjMax then they no longer had it and have been buying it here since. I get adult acne with cystic acne since I have been using this for the past 8 months I have not had one breakout. It doesn’t not dry my face out and leaves it super soft. Love love love. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. I will not buy any other soap for my face than this. I have tried other charcoal soaps and this is the best.

My husband has skin problems and this soap really helps to keep dry skin and breakouts under control. The scent is nice and he’s been so happy with it. I initially purchased at TJ Max for him and it helped his skin to stay moist and breakouts are very minimal. I went to purchase again and couldn’t find it at TJ Max, so I searched here on Amazon and had success! It’s a great soap.

Pros: We do love the way the black soap cleans.
Cons: Kinda pricey when buying online. We also gotta Make sure it is not left near water when not in use, as it deteriorates faster. Ive purchased this for gifting (Amazon) and when my regular brand was out. Side Note-SheaMoisture black Soap does a great job for way less and does not deteriorate as fast.

Great soap …. originally found this at TJmaxx and was excited to find it here on Amazon. It appears to be helping with my sensitive skin in different ways. Eczema, rosacea, and folliculitis are better than with any other soap or prescription alone. Not really moisturizing but doesn’t dry out either.
