    The product page advertised 5 ingredients (Azadirachta Indica (Neem) Leaf Aqueous Extract, Saponified Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter And Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Coco-betaine, Aromatic Passiflora Edulis (Passion Fruit) Extract.)

    BUT ACTUAL product label lists: Aqua/Water/Eau, Coco-Betaine, Potassium Shea Butterate, Potassium Cocoate, Melia Azaditachta Leaf, Passiflora Incarnata Fruit Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower/Leaf Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricol) Fruit Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Pyrus Communis (Pear) Fruit Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Extract.

    A few of the extracts/ingredients are ALLERGENS for my family, so the bait and switch could have led to allergic reactions if I hadn’t confirm the ingredients label. Unfortunately, I’ve had this same experience before with another Alaffia product that I order for pick-up at Whole Foods only to find the ingredients were completely different from Amazon’s product description.

    Lastly, to add insult to injury this product came leaking in box (some dried soap so damaged appeared to happen early in shipment or storage), cracked dispenser, no protective wrapping, and dispenser set in the open position instead of closed.

    I love how simple the ingredients are and how the pump amount is controlled. At first I was weary about getting passion fruit because of a review saying it didn’t smell fruity; Wrong! passion fruit extract is tart and tangy, known to have notes of citrus, mandarin, orange and pineapple. I will update with how long this bottle lasts using 4 pumps a shower!

    Here’s how I came upon Alaffia. Honestly, it was the distinctive graphic design on the bottle. Then the sale price at Whole Foods in a big bottle of shampoo. Bought the 32oz bottle of coconut shampoo at Whole Foods. Didn’t work out for my hair and wasn’t too hot on the fragrance. Instead of tossing the bottle, I started using the remaining shampoo as a body wash. I started to notice some big differences in my skin within a few days…no more dry skin, dry feet, or body breakouts from acne. All of this a big deal since I have very sensitive and reactive skin.

    Decided to buy the lavender body wash to try. I bought the kids lemon/lavender 16oz bottle and used the entire thing up. I LOVED IT. Ultra moisturizing, clears up body acne, and smells great. No lingering fragrance on the skin but makes your bathroom smell like a natural spa or a Aveda salon. Also, fights and neutralizes the funk. We have three men in our house from 17 years old to 52 years old, so we know funk. I feel good knowing that my 17 year old is using a product that naturally treats his teenage funk.

    But the big shocker to me with the body wash was this…the main ingredient is Neem. If Neem is new to you, do some research on it. I learned all about it from a botanical tour years ago at ECHO in Fort Myers, Florida. I actually bought three Neems plants from their plant nursery after the tour because I was so astounded with the power of the plant; used all over the world, and used especially in developing/third world countries for medicinal purposes where medical care is slim to none.

    I could go on and on… instead do some light internet research in your own if you’re on the fence with this. You’ll be amazed what Neem can do and even more amazed that you have a 16oz/32oz (depending on the size you buy) bottle of it for a little over $10.

    (In my opinion, The quality of the main ingredient and the price are reason enough to buy…hands down. Check out other neem based products being sold at Whole Foods and you’ll find they are all triple or quadruple the cost.)

    Second reason to believe & buy: the company, what they stand for, fair trade, and the empowerment of women. Supporting rural African communities and made by those communities under strict ethical stands for quality of living and wage.

    I feel good knowing that I’m using a “clean” (purity of ingredients) product that is produced ethically and which supports its workforce

    Buy it. Try it. You’ll buy it again.

    This used to be a great body wash for us, unfortunately the product ingredients changed. My wife is not allergic to the new ingredients. Which honestly is sad for us because this was one of the few she was good with.

    I love this brands natural product line. The way this lathers without the use of harmful ingredients makes me feel more like the product is working well compared to some other natural cleansers that do not bubble up at all. The passion fruit scent is intoxicating (in a good way). The pump is a great idea as some of their other caps are more difficult to open in the shower.

    We love this bodywash for daily use. My husband has dry, sensitive skin, and he does well with using it. I can use it on all sensitive areas as well, with no irritation. I also use it to shave my legs. It does leave you with the slight “squeaky” clean feeling, but not as bad a some other natural soaps. It moisturizes the skin really well. It is a thinner substance, so we use the bottle a little quicker than I would like. However, the quality of soap and ingredients keep me coming back for more. The unscented soap does have a natural scent to it, and it’s pleasant!

    Gets me clean, what can I say? I feel refreshed after a shower and don’t have to worry about body odor. Smooth liquud soap. You’ll like it, too.

    It’s unscented so I don’t smell like a bottle of cheap perfume.

    Easy to access using pump action and large enough volume so I’m not constantly replacing it.

    I love this body wash, especially in the winter when skin gets dry. It makes a nice foam and smells good without being overpowering. I don’t have problems with scaly feet and cracking heels when I use this regularly. A little goes a long way, too, so it is worth every penny and repurchasing is less frequent than other brands.
