I thought this would be a good after sun product to take the edge off sunburn or overheated skin. I was surprised that it is menthol scented and reminds me of a muscle cream smell mixed with a bit of citrus. Very odd. The gel texture goes on smooth but feels sticky even after several minutes. I do find that it has the same sort of feel as a muscle cream, likely from the menthol, so there is a slight cooling sensation. I’m not sure that’s enough for me to make this a regular part of my sun care routine, however, because the sticky feeling and scent are not for me.

I love going to the beach and getting my tan on but what I love more is using this gel afterwards! I do keep it in my fridge just for extra cooling purposes and it does help calm down some of my eczema flares with the cooling effect. I don’t clear much for the smell, it’s as expected for the effect that it provides. My boyfriend also uses this on his muscles after he comes back from the gym.

I like this gel lotion for how easily it goes on, and how quickly it absorbs. I haven’t really noticed much of a cooling effect, but since it’s cold here already most of my skin gets covered up right away anyway so that might be why I don’t notice. I bet it will feel really good in the summer though, especially on my legs (on which I often forget to put sunscreen!).
This lotion is not good for very dry skin or chapped hands/feet, but the only ones that work well for that are always too thick and sticky and I end up not wanting to use them.. so something that works a little bit is better than not using anything at all I guess.
I’m not crazy about the smell, and it lingers for longer than I would like. I’m very very sensitive to my sense of smell though and I always prefer unscented products. This smell is tolerable at least.

This body gel is cooling and refreshing, perfect for hot days or after sun exposure. It hydrates well, though the cooling effect might not last as long as some would like.

While the scent resembles tiger balms and menthol creams, albeit lighter, I appreciate this body gel for its smooth application and slight cooling sensation. It provided a little relief to me after a sunburn during a trip to Australia. I won’t use it regularly but will use it when I have got too much sun exposure or sun burn.

Living in a mostly year round sunny area, I am exposed to the sun’s harsh rays on a daily basis, even more so when out in the yard gardening or out enjoying nature and with the cold and sun, my skin gets dry and irritated easily. This cooling gel moisturizer works well. The the gel consistency is a nice thickness so that it applies nicely and is not runny. The initial menthol smell diminishes in a few minutes and is tolerable. It feels cooling, soothing, and moisturizing. The one thing I don’t like about it is that even after it is absorbed into the skin, it leaves a slightly sticky feel to the skin. It

It’s December 13, and I’m in a fuzzy robe with the heater on high, so today probably wasn’t the best day to pop the safety seal off of this cooling gel moisturizer and check it out, but I did. The first thing I noticed was how much it smells like Bengay. It’s from the menthol, I realize this and understand it is part of the cooling mechanism. Upon giving it another sniff, I decided that it was not quite as bad as Bengay, and certainly not nearly as strong. I tried a little bit out on my leg and made a decision. That moisturizer was going into the refrigerator for hot flashes and summer days. I did notice that the gel can seem a bit tacky drying on the fingers after applying it onto my legs (or wherever!), but that feeling only lasted a minute or two. It is indeed moisturizing! It is a gel, and it is cooling! And I will love it when I need to be cooled down. Just, not right now. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to find some fuzzy socks. *winks* Yes, I recommend this product!
