    I have been using this tummy butter since the moment I knew I was pregnant. It is the most recommended one, and I thought it must be for a reason, even though it is very popular to say that it is all about genetics and your body shape too… But all we can do to help those factors is to take external care with some butter like this. I am 6.5 months now, and I have a belly from heaven 🙂 I only use it at night, and some mornings now I am using what they call the massage lotion, which is lighter and like a moisturizing cream, that helps if the belly feels itchy or stretchy. My belly is only growing big now, and was scared that because it hasn’t been more gradual from the beginning, but I don’t have any marks, I don’t feel dry, itchy, stretching too much…. my belly feels soft and hydrated and my husband said the other day when we were commenting on it “it feels like it had its own layer of moisture”. I hope it works this well for all of you ladies!!! Worst is going to happen, is that you couldn’t avoid the marks, but you had great skin otherwise and did all you could to prevent the marks 🙂

    I’ve tried out 4 different belly butters and unfortunately none of them hit on all marks. I’ve rated Burt’s bees mamma bee belly butter, Honest company’s organic belly balm, palmers cocoa butter belly butter and earth mamma’s body butter and belly oil. I rated the belly butters on smell, moisture, ease of use and texture

    The overall winner was: Burt’s bees mamma bee belly butter but read on to see the review of this product followed by the others.

    Palmers cocoa butter belly butter: This was my husband’s favorite of the 4. It has a strong coco butter smell and is very moisturizing. unfortunately it is a little difficult to use because it’s kind of hard. Eventually we found that if we cut it in half so that we could get a chunk out of the container to rub on my tummy that it was much easier
    Smell: 3/4 moisture: 4/4 use: 2/4 texture: 2/4

    Burts bees: all and all I love this product it has a nice creamy consistency to it and it doesn’t have a sticky feeling. The smell is nice and subtle which for me is a big deal I didn’t have a lot of nausea during my pregnancy but man did smells send me running to the bathroom. The big downside for this product is that it didn’t seem like the moisture would last through the night and I’d have to reapply in the morning and again around lunch time.
    Smell: 4/4 moisture: 2/4 use: 4/4 texture: 3/4

    Honest company organic belly balm: This product is a tough one for me; moisture wise this product knocks the others off the block. I’d apply it at night and my skin still felt soft and supple, definitely made me feel like I only needed to apply it at night. Unfortunately I think that comes from it’s texture which is a lot like Vaseline. Its really oily and I needed to wear an old shirt to keep it off everything else. also the smell, oh man the smell. This product has a very medicinal smell that kind of made me queasy.
    Smell: 0/4 moisture: 4/4 use: 2/4 texture: 1/4

    Earth mamma’s body butter and belly oil: This product was pretty different from the others in that it was a 2 part process. That said it has a nice light citrus smell and although it has 2 steps the pump bottles made it easy to apply directly to my belly. The big draw back is that it didn’t seem to stick around for very long and I kept wanting to reapply it. however it was nice for those winter days when I though I needed a little more and it doesn’t leave any kind of sticky feeling.
    Smell: 4/4 moisture: 1/4 use: 3/4 texture: 2/4

    This has always been my favorite belly butter during my pregnancies. I have tried many others when I was unable to find this one , & they don’t compare. It’s a very thick consistency, with little to no smell. Once you rub your hands together, it literally melts in your hands. It is very moisturizing & long lasting. Highly recommend!

    Other reviewers complain about it being greasy or taking too long to absorb fully. I don’t see the issue. What I expected was a nice thick product that I could slather on before bed to help prevent stretch marks. What I got was a nice thick product that I could slather on before bed… Yes – it does take a little while to completely absorb. If you want one that doesn’t take so long to absorb then check out some of their other lotion style products – I have them but I prefer this one because it feels like it is higher quality.

    The scent is really nice, a soft lavender/coconut oil scent.

    So far I am 20 weeks along, and I have initially been using this approximately every other day. I have had no stretch marks show up so far… but I realize my stomach has a lot more stretching to go. From here on out I will be using it at least once, if not twice a day. I do not mind putting it on in the morning and then almost immediately getting dressed in my full panel pants – it doesn’t seem to get them greasy or anything like that.

    Overall – its a great product and so far I recommend it. Time (and genetics) will tell if I will get stretch marks or not!

    I used this product when I had 2 kids. Both time, I didn’t get any stretchmark. I am the living proof this product works. So I decided to give this to my friend with confidence.
    Tip: start using this even you think your tummy doesn’t have any showing. I started using it at 5 months, and til I had babies.

    Only downside of this product is greesy. So I would wear tanktop underneath of regular clothes. Also after the pregnancy, I had to throw away the tops because it left old-oil-smell in the clothes no matter how much I washed.

    Overall, I strongly recommend this product even I had to throw away my clothes after the pregnancy.

    Buen producto, llego bien el empaque, respecto al producto es el único que utilice en mi embarazo y me funciono muy bien, hidrata muy bien y no me salieron estrías, sin embargo al ser un poco aceitoso hay que esperar un rato a que se absorba o en su caso utilizar ropa que no importa que se estropee, porque si llega a manchar un poco la ropa, sin embargo, a mi me gusto mucho a pesar de eso
