The scent of this body scrub is fabulous and I love that it comes with a nice long-handed spoon to scoop out the scrub. It comes in a bag as a dry product and you massage it into wet skin, typically in the shower. It works great and my skin is always so soft and silky after I use this.
My only issues with the product are that it is incredibly slippery so you have to be careful not to slip and fall- this could be a really dangerous situation if you’re prone to falls- and the package doesn’t reseal, so you’ll have to find a way to keep the product from getting wet in the shower and then find a way to store it without it spilling. I ended up emptying the scrub into a glass jar with a bamboo lid so it looks pretty on my bathroom shelf, and then I just scoop some of the product onto a washcloth and take that into the shower with me. It’s a bit of a pain compared to other scrubs that come in a resealable tub you can take right into the shower, but I do like how my skin feels after using it.

There are a lot of things I like about this homemade scrub – the natural ingredients, how soft it leaves my skin. The fragrance (brown sugar) is nice too although definitely not natural.
The part I don’t like is the presentation. Because it’s a homemade quality scrub (salt, sugar, and oils mixed together – something you can make in your kitchen), it lacks the consistency of a commercially produced cosmetic product typically made in a balm or gel form so it has the texture of wet sand. The scrub comes in a pouch that cannot be resealed (so it starts oxidizing quickly) and you have to use a large scoop that came inside (wrapped in plastic that was covered in the scrub – messy and wasteful) to get it out. It’s very awkward to spread it over the body from the spoon – I tried using a loofah but the grain is too coarse and it’s uncomfortable. I use my hands, but it requires excessive amounts of product to get it all over the body and leaves the skin too oily (it absorbs eventually but bad for the towels).
I really wanted to love this scrub as it does work well but it’s just too awkward and uncomfortable to use. If it was mixed into a spreadable balm and offered in a tube or a jar, I would absolutely go for it.

Scent: Ocean Mist
A very nice substance that I particularly love using along my legs while soaking in my bathtub. A grainy salt that is saturated in luxurious oils. The salt feels good along my legs when I need to exfoliate all of that dry, dead skin. It’s also loaded with lots of rich and nourishing oils that moisturize the skin while it exfoliates. Can be used along other body parts, but it’s my legs that I most love using this for. Go lightly though because you only need to use a small amount because it’s that rich and satisfying on the driest of skin.
Inside that bag you’ll also receive a beautiful golden toned spoon for extracting the salts. Again, go light. You won’t even need a full spoonful per leg, arm or torso portion. The spoon has a nice long handle too which makes pulling the salts from the bag much easier. Of course, once it’s all used up, you can use this for other products, though you’ll probably want to try other varieties of these luxurious bath salts. I know that I certainly want to!
I opted for the Ocean Mist because I love those clean salty scents. This is very pleasing and probably the one that scent sensitive people would prefer. That’s not me, but I love it anyway. Looking forward to trying the others sometime in the future.

This smells so lovely, it’s on par with some of the lush products I’ve used when it comes to wanting to take a bite of it cause it smells so lovely (don’t do it! LOL). I loved how this made my skin feel after use and I loved the smell so much it was luxurious. I do want to point out three issues, to me I would still buy this again so that gets a 5 star from me, but I feel like there is room for improvement:
1) I can’t seal the package, there is to much product around the top and no way to get it to close, I had to get a clip to keep it shut.
2) Its very slippery! Be careful when using this as it gets everywhere and will make your shower slick.
3) it’s very scratchy, not a fine grain at all which can be harsh on your skin, I would recommend using in a small area to test first if you have sensitive skin.

Rounded up from 4.5 stars. The vanilla brown sugar scent is amazing- the whole bathroom smells like fresh baked cookies after I shower. The scent does linger on the skin, but it is subtle. It does a good job of exfoliating and does have good skincare ingredients so it moisturizes as well. The included spoon is a nice touch- certainly that can be reused. I followed the directions and turned off the water and exfoliated on my washed skin. That worked well. The bag did not want to reseal for me- so I placed it outside the shower before I washed off. The scrub works into the skin nicely, and I did not feel any grittiness afterwards. It did make the bathtub floor extremely slippery, and it took a bit of doing to clean the residue off after showering. Overall I would say this definitely feels luxurious, which justifies the proce point. I enjoy using it, but there are a few minor quibbles I have with the overall product

I love this scrub, it is so exfoliating and smells great. I got satsuma which smells like fresh cut mandarins; it’s very invigorating. I love that this product is handmade and it was really mess-free. Usually with scrubs, the scrub ends up everywhere but not with this one. The texture is like a lighter, fluffier kinetic sand. It feels luxurious. The spoon makes it easy to grab some product and apply; then you’re good to go for a spa-like experience. I would definitely repurchase this product.
