The jar product comes in had no seal which resulted in the oil all leaking into the packaging so that all that’s left is an oil-less sugar scrub. It’s no good without the oil. Product might be good with proper sealed container but I’ll never know since I won’t be throwing any more $$ away on this again.

These arrived with some minor spillage. I know this is a drier sugar scrub consistency but it does have some oils, which was all over the packaging and on the outside of the jar. None of the scrub itself spilled. As soon as I opened the packaging a rancid smell came out. It gets pretty hot where I am so I’m assuming the smell is from it “fermenting” in the packaging, although I picked it up from our mailbox the day it was delivered. That definitely started this off on a bad note because I can still smell the sour, rancid scent.
After cleaning this jar off with soap I decided to give it a chance. This scrub has very fine sugars, almost like texture of fine sand grains. It isn’t heavily scented and from the ingredients list I don’t see any added fragrance but I can smell a bit of the honey and sugar. This one doesn’t smell that great compared with some other honey and sugar products, so I’m not sure if it is slightly rancid due to the heat exposure. I decided to only use it on my hands or legs and not my face, and I noticed it does leave a slight layer of grease, although not too much. I think this would probably make my face feel really soft after use but after getting whiffs of the rancid smell I’m not going to do that. I won’t be dumping the rest out and will use it mainly on my legs as a body scrub. This product has the potential to be great but just needs a better packaging and sealing to ensure it doesn’t spill or go bad due to any type of weather exposure.

Eczema Honey Brown Sugar Face & Body Scrub is a scrub with a rich aroma of brown sugar and honey. The brown sugar aroma is prominent when smelling the product from the tub. It has a mild grit scrub making it a comfortable product to use. It has made a noticeable improvement to my skin. When using the product, the honey fragrance was definitely the dominating fragrance while the once prominent brown sugar was noticeably softer. I wish the manufacturer included a spatula to help remove the scrub from the 6oz tub. Hopefully for future efforts, the manufacturer will consider adding this little tool. Once I rinsed off my face and body, there was a slight oily feel to my skin. But once I was towel dry, there was no residue that remained. After several uses, I have found my skin to look healthier and feels moisturized. There are no more odd patches of dry skin on my face. The ingredients used to make this face scrub include light brown sugar, olive oil, grapeseed oil, organic beeswax, jojoba seed oil, honey powder, colloidal oatmeal, and Vitamin E oil, among other ingredients. It is Manufactured in the USA (Hayward, CA). Overall, I have seen a noticeable improvement to my skin and am happy with the result.

This face and body scrub is great for my hands! It has a soft, damp texture almost like very fine-grained sand and is not too abrasive at all. It also isn’t oily-feeling as so many scrubs are. It smells really nice at first but the fragrance isn’t long-lasting. I like to keep it by my kitchen sink as I wash my hands frequently and they get so dry and rough. They feel wonderful after using this scrub, and it only takes a few seconds. My hands feel soft and supple and they look pampered. I thought the jar was a bit small to keep in the shower to use as a body scrub even though only a small amount is needed. The jar contains six ounces which sounds like a lot, but every one in the family would love to lavish this on their skin so I’m sure it would be gone in two days. But of course it does work very well in that capacity. I tried using just a small amount of the scrub on my legs and feet and it really does leave them feeling soft and smooth. And no slippery mess on the shower floor to worry about either. I didn’t try this on my face, as I have very sensitive skin. This is rather pricey for such a small jar, but it is definitely worth the cost + I only need a pinch or so when using it on my hands.

Update: Monday, October 2,2 2023
Customer support reached out to me and we came to a resolution. They sent a brand new jar of the scrub to us, to make sure we were happy. It arrived safe and sound without a single grain of spillage. It has a much better smell, I’m sure that had to do with it being unopened and exposed to all temperature changes on my initial shipment. I’m raising my rating to 5 stars, since I received an undamaged product.
Now, on to the original review
Let’s get down, to the details of this product. There are a couple things going on, before you even try it. First, upon receiving this, it had spilled in the packaging, losing half of the product. The manufacturer needs, to come up with a better sealing method. Just a simple threaded tightening lid would have prevented this from happening.
Moving on to the scent and grit of the sugar scrub. When you first smell it, honey jumps out at you for sure but, you don’t want to just keep smelling it. When it comes to the scrub itself, it is very fine and dissolves quickly.
