I love the taste and you will too! What I have learned from my physiology class so far is so amazing and have me wondering why calcium is only promoted as being good for bone support. A few more information about the importance of calcium that I learned from my class is for the transmission of information (release of neurotransmitters) from the axon terminals of the presynaptic cells to the dendrites of the post-synaptic cells. Calcium is also essential for muscle contraction. Calcium is released by the sarcoplasmic reticulum, grabbed by troponin C exposing the active sites of thin (actin) filaments allowing the myosin head to bind to it causing power stroke, muscle contraction occurs. Another reason why we need calcium is its use during contraction process of the heart. I have to find an alternative source of calcium and I’m glad I found these great tasting gummies! Now I am confident that I am providing myself with adequate amount of calcium that I need daily! I am extremely lactose intolerant and have deprived myself of calcium pretty much my entire life (I’m 40 y.o.)! Yes, it took me this long to look for an alternative source of calcium. I hope these information helps and don’t forget to consult your physician or conduct your own research for the need of calcium.
