I’ve tried a number of other Nutricost products in the past going back several years, and I consider them to be an established brand by now. Their product range is pretty wide, and their products have always been of generally good quality.
There’s not much to say about capsules as long as they do the job and are the same dimensions as stated. Indeed, these capsules do the job and are the same dimensions as stated. They also come in a gelatin version, which is almost the same product.
No denying that these are priced higher than some of the competition, but they’re US-made in a GMP-certified facility. In my tests, they were about the same to work with as the US-made competition (i.e. just as prone to breakage and getting caught in my equipment), but just slightly better than the US-branded, foreign-sourced competition. I think it’s understandable to purchase based on cost alone, but it’s always nice to have more options in the market and I frankly avoid non-US capsules these days whenever I can.
I’d also advise you to look into purchasing these in the 1000-count quantity. As of the date of review in late September 2024, that item listing is a much better deal per capsule – still near double what I remember paying a few years ago, but them’s the breaks.

I found these empty “0” size capsules useful for making my own adaptogenic herbal capsules. I had no adverse reaction to them, and I can be picky. I started filling them with Bacopa Monnieri (Brahmi), as well as Angelica Sinesis (Dong Quai). Both appear visually the same in powder form, but they are different herbs. I appreciate that, in general, making one’s own capsules ends up saving money. I was pleased that the expiration date gives me close to two years to use these.
This process also gives one much more control over options, such as quantity of capsules to make, quantity of around how much to fill, selecting combinations of ingredients, and so on. I like their list of certifications. However, only some certifications are found on the label itself vs. some other certifications are only advertised online (but not on the label). This leaves me a little confused.
The capsules arrive loosely connected, which initially erroneously led me to make certain assumptions. At first, I had thought that these capsules were larger than my last set from another brand, and they could be potentially more difficult to swallow. However, upon closer inspection, I learned that if I push the ends together tightly of these Nutricost capsules, the size appears to shrink down to a normal size for swallowing. I am glad that I had no problem swallowing them, in the end.

I ordered these empty capsules because I found out that I have a really hard time consuming powdered supplements that I have to mix with water. I felt guilty not consuming my very expensive bag of spirulina powder and others.
I used a miniature funnel to fill the capsules which was easy enough to do. Now I take my spirulina regularly and the cellulose capsules don’t irritate my stomach. Problem solved.
Nutricost is a well known brand which gave me confidence in this product. The capsules are well priced and I think one can even save money and have more control of the ingredients by making their own supplements at home. I recommend this product.

I found these to work very well for me. They were easy to get a part and fill. Very easy to use. They are also easy to swallow and have a pleasant taste which is pretty much nothing. I would get this again.

HOW THESE COME
These come in a plastic zipper topped bag. I plan to put them in a hard plastic container for extra protection against moisture in rainy seasons and in humid summers.
PERFORMANCE
We either load these singly for a single dose, or they fit into our pill filling tray that is made for this size capsule. The ends snap into place nicely and seem to hold well so far. As for dissolving in the stomach, no issues there.
THE BOTTOM LINE
These so far are good for powdered herbs. I would not use them for oil though unless you take them right after making one.

FIVE STARS. For dry herbs and mixtures these are good capsules. I would purchase again.
