I’ve read good things about the benefits of DGL so started taking these and it’s working for me. I was interested in licorice root, but read that the Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice Extract was a better way to go.

Nutricost has been manufacturing vitamins and supplements for at least 12 years. This DGL Licorice Extract, however, is not manufactured by Nutricost. I removed one star for that reason.
Nutricost has fulfillment centers in California, North Carolina, and Utah. The company employs over 650 people.
I’ve been ordering products from Nutricost for at least 5 years now, so I trust the company enough to know they would make sure that every product with their name on it meets their standards.
DGL is claimed to reduce or eliminate Ulcers, canker sores, eczema. GERD, and coughs. However, there are different ways of taking or applying it and there can be side effects involved, so please do your own homework and seek the guidance of a healthcare professional.
The bottle I received is double sealed for protection.

When opening one capsule, the powder had a floury consistency and a very bitter taste with a distinct hint of licorice.
Nutricost offers trustworthy products at a good value. That’s why I continue to order this brand.

One of the nice things about this particular version of DGL is that it only requires one capsule a day versus 2 for other competitors. The capsules themselves are easy to swallow and use. The effects can be subtle and hard to assess, as with many supplements, but these seem like good options for those interested in DGL.

This review is for Nutricost DGL Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice Extract Capsules
I always have Deglycyrrhized Licorice in my Medicine cabinet. It has saved my stomach so many times. I have used chewables in the past but having these capsules are much easier to travel with or just to keep a couple extra in your purse! The suggested serving is 1 capsule daily. If and when I take it, it is because my stomach is feeling ‘blech’ !! It always works and it works quickly within 30 min. This is so much better and healthier for you than the alternative. This Nutricost brand was founded in 2012 in Utah.
Their Deglycyrrhized Licorice is 3rd party lab tested, manufactured in an NSF Certified GMP Compliant facility, non GMO and Made in the USA. All the boxes are checked. The cost of this Deglycyrrhized Licorice is very reasonable and I recommend it.

I’ve been taking DGL for a number of months in powder form. Some family members are interested, but prefer little taste or odor. This version, from a US made company I’ve used before, is DGL extract equivalent to 500mg per capsule. I’ve included a pic so you can see the capsule as compared to a powder form. The capsule appears lighter, which may be the silica, calcium silicate, Mg stearate and stearic acid, listed as other ingredients. I find the capsule to have no odor or flavor when swallowing or later on. the capsule is average size.

I take DGL occasionally for upset stomach. This is one of the least expensive versions I’ve found online, and from a name I recognize and trust.

If you do what they suggest, and only take one a day, this bottle of 120 is going to last you 4 months, and for the price that is an amazing deal. I have serious stomach issues, and take one with a healthy amount of water 20 minutes before I break fast, and have been doing so for months. For me, it’s made a difference…
