Have always had good luck with Nutricost products. This was a new supplement for me. Made me a bit nauseated the first few times I took it, but I expected that from the literature I’d read about it. High quality packaging. Easy to swallow capsules.

Supplements help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food, and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to get to know the company and product better, to help you determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.
This bottle comes about 25% full, which is one of my pet peeves with many supplement companies. If used as directed it will last two months. I’d prefer they put more capsules in and/or use a smaller bottle.
The expiration date on mine is Apr 2027, so a little less than three years from now.
The small capsules have almost no scent or taste, and are easy to swallow with water.
I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says 3rd-party tested, made in the USA, and has a GMP stamp. The product page also says non-GMO.
I look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. I have used Nutricost before, but recently found out disappointing information about some of my other regular suppliers, so no one is exempt =) This supplement has their address on the bottle, which is not just an address, but a building with their name on it. They also have a working phone number on the bottle. Their nutricost site is functional as well as informative. I don’t see an About Us page to learn more about the company, but their social media is active. In the lab reviews I found, Nutricost was not always the cleanest supplement but was well below what is allowed. And they often had higher levels of supplement than was listed, though on at least one occasion it was almost non-existent in the test. One thing I was quite impressed by is that when something was found lacking, they addressed it rather than just gloss over it. They are also often one of the most affordable supplements available.
I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but I like the ingredients (including that they didn’t use the fillers that many companies say they need to use, but the manufacturers of the highest quality supplements I know about refuse to) and the price (especially for two months’ worth!) and I trust the company.

I have had the opportunity to try these Dihydroberberine capsules from Nutricost for about a month, and my experience so far has been positive. I have used other supplements from Nutricost in the past and trust them as a manufacturer, so deciding to try this was a no-brainer.
There are 60 capsules in the bottle I received, which is 200mg per serving and a recommended dosage of one capsule daily. The capsules themselves are on the smaller side, are easy to swallow, and leave no noticeable aftertaste. From my understanding, Dihdroberberine is purported to be more effective than regular berberine, as it has a higher bioavailability and a lower risk of causing stomach issues.
I generally try to take one capsule with about 8 ounces of water about 15 minutes before I eat lunch, which for me is usually my largest meal of the day because I am coming off of a 16-hour fast. Since taking this product, I feel like my energy in the afternoon is higher, and I generally don’t have a crash if I go carb-heavy at lunch.
All in all I think this is a good buy and I am happy to recommend it.

My mother had to discontinue metformin, so began using berberine at the doctor’s advice. Switched to 200mg dihydro-berberine by nutricost because of advertised bioavailability. Within 3 days, my mother was bedridden and looked like she had a stroke. Took her to her doctor and they were completely stumped by her medical condition. Discontinued dihydro-berberine and overnight her symptoms began to improve. It took almost a week for her to regain most of her original vigor. As a side note, the dihydro-berberine did nothing to her blood glucose levels.

I’ve been taking Nutricost Dihydroberberine capsules for a month, and they seem to support my energy and metabolism. The 200mg dosage is convenient, and it’s supposed to be more bioavailable than regular berberine. I haven’t noticed dramatic effects, but it feels like a solid addition to my supplement routine.

I have used berberine on and off for a wile. This brand seems to be working OK. The pills are easy to swallow.
I am most happy that there is no black pepper product in this, it seems like many of the supplements are using it for better absorbability, but I am allergic to it.

It gets that extra star only if it is outstanding.
It loses stars for issues- bad sizing, poor quality.
