Took these after a meal without any discomfort or stomach issues. Got these to help with my muscle recovery (or lack of) after strength training, and anti inflammatory benefits. I’ve heard it helps with DOMS (delayed onset of muscle soreness) and heard a lot about tart cherry juice. It also claims to be rich in antioxidants and vitamin c, and no severe side effects so why not give it a try?
A serving size is 3 gel capsules to get 3,600 mg (3.6g) of 360 mg of 10:1 tart cherry extract. By comparison, a very popular competitor product uses 1 gel cap (similar size ~3/4″) for 3,000 mg and includes 240 servings for a cheaper price. Worse yet is that this Horbaach brand is only 100 servings. Both claim 3rd party tested, GMP manufactured, and gluten free. Not the best for bang for buck, but it is an American company produced locally, and best of all small business.
I’ve only taken it a few times, but so far no issues. The small studies that have been done usually have a month or more time span before reporting any benefits, so I hope to see a noticeable change in the longer run.

Tart cherry juice supposedly offers some benefits with regard to sleep efficiency and it also has been said to possibly help lower bad (LDL) cholesterol and reduce inflammation. Although studies regarding tart cherry taken in capsule form aren’t as clear cut, it’s hard to find no-sugar-added juice, so I decided to try it in pill form. This supplement seems to have been well produced and the company seems reputable. The product was well sealed. I have no way of knowing if it’s related to tart cherry extract consumption, but I’ve been sleeping through the night since taking it, whereas previously I used to wake up once or twice. I plan to continue taking one a day and we’ll see how that goes. I had no adverse reaction to it.

I have a friend who spoke highly of the benefits from tart cherry juice and supplements so I decided to pick up a bottle and try them for myself. I didn’t notice too much within the first few days other than I seemed to have more frequent urination than usual. At the time of this review it’s been about 2.5 weeks of usage taking 3 capsules each night before bed. I’ve noticed it helps me fall asleep faster rather than my usual difficulty falling asleep within a decent time (typically find my mind busy, making it hard to sleep). Other noticeable improvements have been some joint pain in my knees and overall inflammation reduction (could be the reason for the urination. I should note the frequent urination stopped within the first few days and went back to normal, could just be a reaction to a new supplement. Overall, there’s definitely some benefits to taking tart cherry that I think will be a slightly different experience for each individual.

While I gave it a 5 star review, only time will tell if it makes any changes to my numbers. This review is based only on the fact that I had no issues taking the supplement. The capsules aren’t too large. I felt no different after taking them. No indigestion. No reaction whatsoever. I looked into what tart cherry supplement is good for, and I hope to see results in the long term. This bottle is huge, so will last a long time. For what it’s worth, I started out by only taking one capsule daily and have now worked up to the recommended dosage on the label. Just wanted to make sure I’d have no bad or noticeable reaction to it. This brand is good. I already was using another supplement from them. Pretty clean ingredients, too.

So I read up and learned that Tart Cherry is helpful in post workout recovery. I have been using this to recover after my workouts. I used to take a liquid supplement but this seems to be working just as well and is easier to ingest after a long workout when I am tired and already have a lot of food and hydration to swallow. Chalky pills would be the worst. This is easy and helps get the results I need. Very happy so far.

My husband takes tart cherry at night to help him fall asleep and sleep better, as it contains tryptophan and melatonin. It also naturally contains antioxidants that improve overall health. We were buying the juice for a while, but that was getting kind of expensive and it was another thing taking up room in the refrigerator, so I ordered these capsules for him and he says they work just as well. No side effects, and continued good sleep.

While tart cherry boasts many wonderful benefits, I’m mostly interested in its effects on sleep and muscle recovery. These capsules supply a good dose of cherry extract. The convenient bottle has an easy flip lid and the bottle itself is filled to the top – so not a lot of wasted space.
I usually take a couple in the evening to help with a good night’s sleep. Apparently tart cherries do contain small amounts of melatonin and tryptophan. I’ve tried drinking tart cherry juice, and while I like the flavor, the juice itself usually has too much sugar so I prefer capsules and to date I’ve been taking these with no problems. This is a good supply for a reasonable price.
