This is not easy to find in stores where I live. You can easily find Calcium supplements in stores, but Calcium Citrate supplements, especially in powder form, is not easy. Nice that you can get this on Amazon. It is also from a reputable brand, so you feel safe ingesting this.

Mix your desired amount in your choice of luke warm liquid and drink.
I chose a orange drink. Super easy and with bit of Carbonation I tasted nothing. Otherwise it’s a bit chalky tasting.
The take is its not easily absorbed into the body. It seems no problem when it not capsulated.

I have never found a calcium supplement that was small enough for me to swallow comfortably, and the chewables come loaded with sugar. Moreover, I read that there is a limit to how much calcium a body can absorb at one sitting—about 500mg—so smaller doses throughout the day improve absorbability. So I decided to try this calcium powder, and I glad I did. This stuff mixes easily into applesauce, guacamole, hummus, oatmeal and yogurt. It is tasteless to me (YMMV) and not noticeably gritty. The only thing it doesn’t do is mix well in liquid. I was trying it in tea for a while, but it all ended up at the bottom of the cup no matter how much I stirred. Anyway, if you are like me, it will be a game changer in terms of getting adequate calcium.

I add this to my vet-recipe dog food recipe, and it mixes well into the batch. The only thing I might change is to create a larger opening on the bottle. I usually make a mess trying to measure it out of the bottle with a measuring tablespoon.

This powdered calcium with C definitely helps relax my tight back muscles, relieving back pain. I take 1 teaspoon per day in water or OJ with 1/4 t. ascorbic acid (Vitamin C powder, I want the extra C), along with doing stretching exercises DAILY. Ive been doing this for almost a year since I was incapacitated with back pain for a month last fall . Tight muscles can be so painful, they can masquerade as something more serious.
I feel so great sometimes, I slack on my calcium-vit C combo/stretching, then my muscles knot right up.! So back on routine.
This routine has helped me alot, maybe someone else will benefit from my experience..

This calcium is much easier to digest than other calcium supplements, because it’s calcium citrate and it’s powdered. Dissolves easily and has no taste.

I’d have to say the worse thing about this product is it’s such a fine powder. It doesn’t dissolve well in any drink [oj was suggested on product…eh not really]. I find the best way to get most out of it you can, is to stir it in and let it set awhile and keep stirring it every so often. otherwise, you find a lot of the product sticks to the bottom and that just seems wasteful to me.
The bottle could have had a bit better design as well, and it doesn’t last long with the amount you have to take to meet the daily requirements. Saying that, I will keep taking it in hopes despite it’s inconvenient things. I haven’t noticed anything so far, but if it starts showing improvement, I’ll be the first to revise and eat my hat. For now, it’s not harming me and seems good other than those few quirks.
Revise: It did turn out to that my calcium was all ready high, so this pushed it up too high and in turn, I got horrible leg cramps. I had to discontinue and the cramps went away. I was taking it to try to counter b12 loss from high dose metformin. Sadly, this kind of ties my hands on how to fight the issue, but what can I say…my calcium says it’s all ready boss [so fingers crossed it takes hold of the b12/metformin issue on it’s own].
Just thought I’d note that, if you haven’t had your calcium checked and start getting cramps…discontinue use or at the very least, make sure you get your calcium tested.

Calcium citrate is the only calcium that does not upset my stomach. I use this powder to make drinks. It mixes well with a variety of liquids. I also use the capsules of the same brand. Between the two, I get my daily amount of calcium.
