I have been using these pills for a couple of weeks and have really noticed a difference in my digestion. I take 2 to 3 pills with meals (depending on whether I tend to have issues with that type of food). I was concerned that buying this product that is on the less expensive end would mean it didn’t work as well as the higher priced brands, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Eliminated bloating and gas but that in itself is not a miracle cure. Diet, exercise, and calm eating habits play a big role in gut health. Micro biotic health is not achieved with a pill alone. Harbor no false expectations, this is not the fountain of youth, but a helping hand.

I have a degree in Chemistry. Recently my stomach kept hurting and everyone was saying take tums , the Drs had given me omeprazole, testing me for ulcers etc yadayada. I naturally produce very weak stomach acid. This has caused problems through the years, including food impaction that led to emergency surgery. Why: We need HCL/Pepsin for proper digestion of protein as our stomach acid goes down linearly as we get older. So super important to supplement as a senior.
How: The HCL/Pepsin is needed only in the stomach. So any pills we take absolutely need to be released in the stomach, NOT after the stomach.
What: These are a hard pill, not a powder. I have been taking Swanson, Nutricost and Doctors Best for years now with no issues. When taking this hard pill however, it DOES NOT fully dissolve in the stomach but passes out of the stomach & wreaks havoc downstream.
Have been getting an upset stomach for a few weeks now, a weird knee issue & migraines more frequently and finally determined this to be the cause when doing a colonic yesterday and noticed some acidic fluid coming out (burning sensation) which is not normally the case.
So going to just grind these up and use to clean out the calcium in the distiller and going back to Nutricost HCL which is in a gelatinous capsule & therefore DOES dissolve fully in the stomach only.
After the colonic, the knee issue went away so I believe it is related to this situation but cannot prove it.

Recently I’ve started seeing various YouTube and other social media claims that acid reflux isn’t caused by too much acid, it is caused by too little acid. My double strength Prilosec prescription ran out, so I thought I’d give HCl a month to prove itself. The first week was ROUGH. But, a little over two weeks in, I have no symptoms of acid reflux. I’m sold on this.
