This chocolate 4 bar pack tastes fine overall, but the texture makes it so hard to enjoy. The first time I went to taste it was such an unpleasant, and unexpected experience. The moment I broke off a piece to eat, the entire thing fell apart, and I had crumbs going everywhere. I still liked the flavor because it tastes like a cocoa corn flake cereal without the milk, but I wish it wasn’t so messy to eat.

These amaranth bars with chocolate and cornflakes are really delicious. Although the bars were falling apart and not very easy to eat. I personally love eating these amaranth bars as a snack.
I noticed that the nutrition facts indicate 66 grams of carbs per 100 grams, with 34 grams of that being sugar. This seems quite high, and I’m concerned that it may not be as healthy, even though it is an Amaranth Bar snack.

These bars are delicious, but I’m not sure how healthy they really are based on the nutrition facts however, the texture is great and so is the flavor and they seem to be made with really high-quality ingredients These make for a good little midday snack or something while you’re running around all day

This $26 4 pack of bars is an expensive little treat. Each of the bars is sizeable as a snack. The texture is nice, a bit crumbly, but kind of makes a mess as it does fall apart as you eat it.
The corn flake flavor is nice and the chocolate and other ingredients means the bars taste pretty good and make for a good textured snack for folks who enjoy eating things for the mouthfeel.
Overall, this is an expensive treat, but some may enjoy it. I can’t say I’ll order more as they’re too expensive for what you’re getting.

For something labeled healthy they have a HUGE amount of sugar. They are the thickness of hockey pucks, and about the size of a rice cake around and hard to bite into a bit as they are thick. WAY to much money for a sugar filled “healthy” snack.

I admit, I was fooled. I saw amaranth and healthy in the title and just took it. 34 grams of sugar per hockey puck and well as hydrogenated vegetable fat. This is straight junk food, do not buy.

I’m not really sure what the point of these bars are. They are certainly unique (at least to me). But seriously, more calories than most dinner entrees (480 calories!) and WAY more fat content (21 grams!). Some protein content (7g, about as much as a serving of peanut butter). So I guess other than experiencing a “snack” more common in another culture, these can be used by people who need to GAIN weight? The taste is good, but they leave you feeling uncomfortably full. Amaranth grains may be “healthy” or a “superfood”, but they are most certainly NOT healthy in this current configuration. Add to that the fact that they are manufactured in Mexico and as a result the Nutrition Facts label does not comply with the US standard. If it did in fact show the DV percentages of Calories, Fat, Carbs, Sugar and Sodium, you would more clearly see how unhealthy these bars are. Good for a cultural experience I guess, but not something I would experience more than once.

These were so good! They crumbled easily but they tasted amazing. They remind me of the center part of a Ferrero Rocher! They are so good. Mild chocolate flavor with lots of flakes! They are large in size and last awhile. One circle would last me the entire day of a snack! They have a crunch to them and the flavor is mild and chocolatey and good. Soft lightweight texture with a crunch
