This product arrived promptly. All capsules were filled. The product and MD behind it have an excellent reputation. The first 2 days taking it, I had a headache, so I guess it was working. Has to be taken on an empty stomach and not when taking meds or other supplements. If you want to see if it is really working get a blood test for heavy metals to see if it lowers the levels. I’m going to try taking it for at least 3 months to see if I feel any different.

I had very very high mercury and arsenic on a Genova Diagnostics Heavy metals test. My functional medicine doctor told me to take PectaClear and stay away from eating fish for awhile. I took PectaClear daily for 5-6 months and also joined a gym with a dry sauna. After 5 months, I felt a positive difference that I cannot qualify. A year later I took the heavy metals test again. The arsenic dropped to undetectable levels and my mercury was VASTLY reduced (from 30 to 10). I still have more work to do so I bought another bottle and will re-test in 6 months. My only regret is not re-testing sooner and not continuing with PectaClear beyond that first 5-6 months. CLEARLY IT WORKS!!! I May purchase more. 1 month trial is not enough time to see if most vitamins are going to work for you. I believe 3 months is adequate.

I chose this product because it is supposedly the gentlest way to help detoxify dangerous metals from your body. In addition to the modified citrus pectin it has, it has alginate, which supposedly is needed to ensure that the metals, once they’re swept up from your bloodstream and tissues by the MCP, are disposed of and don’t recirculate in your body. I started slowly with this product taking only one capsule per day, because MCP is fiber and adding too much fiber too quickly can cause gas. Over a couple weeks, I moved up to the recommended dose, which is three capsules twice a day on an empty stomach. (An empty stomach, in this instance, is 1/2 hour before or after a meal.) I took six capsules per day for three months and got re-tested to see if my levels had improved. All of the high levels of rubidium, gadolinium, thallium and platinum had come down to acceptable rages. The lead and mercury, however, had remained the same. I called the manufacturer and they said either it was a case of the lead and mercury being deep within my tissues and me needing another round of the product (they suggest either a three or six month trial) or that I am still being exposed to lead and mercury, and in that case, my levels would remain the same if the exposure is not stopped. Not sure which is the answer for me, but I am going to try it another three months since I had partial success with it.
