I read the 1 star reviews and frankly they didn’t read the directions in which you should squeeze a lemon into your drink for that added lemon flavor without the sugar. For a more affordable option I chose to add “True Lemon” which has only 1g of sugar to make it a true lemonade drink and I lost 8lbs in 1 week.
Another suggestion is to heat your water then add the tablespoon of cleanse with 1 packet of True Lemon…..whole thing dissolves and is that much better….like a hot tea or let it cool.
My sister just got diagnosed as pre-diabetic and has high cholesterol so she is going to do the cleanse to jump start a healthier eating lifestyle. The reason I recommend the cleanse for that is because after the first 2-3 days I did not want to eat anything, especially anything with sugar or carbs……detoxing doesn’t just reset your organs, but it also detoxes the chemicals affecting the addiction levels of your brain…..I truly did not want any bad foods. Slept great as well. Drink lots of water and possibly a black coffee to move along the detox out of your body.

I see what happened here…
Before I bought this I was trying to understand the reviews. How could lemon juice cayenne and maple be “nasty”? Now that I’m sipping it myself and taking a closer look at the ingredients, it all makes sense. The first ingredient is freeze dried organic WHOLE lemon. The whole lemon. And as you might imagine, what comes through the most is the bitterness of the lemon peel not the lemon juice. So, yes, the taste is… challenging. There also isn’t much sweetness because this cleanse uses grade B maple syrup which is less sweet than grade A. (So when they say no sweeteners added, believe them.) Just be aware that this is not the juicy, slightly sweet flavor that most of us are used to. So why am I giving this 3 stars? This cleanse is mostly what it professes to be. It would be one thing if I bought this for the flavor, but I didn’t. I purchased it as part of my cleanse and, although not pleasant, it does the job and the price is right.

I’ve used this product more than 2 years ago… it worked for me then. I’ve recreated the product, picking up the ingredients from Whole Foods and it worked. But now I’m back to looking for convenience because of my schedule, so I’ll be picking this up again. As for the taste, this isn’t something you’d want to sip through your morning… use it, then go about your day.
