A few months ago I signed up to get my SlimFast shakes from Amazon on a subscription (15% discount etc.).
First two months the total price after promos was $19.11 which is less than a buck for each of the shake bottles. It’s still too expensive but convenient. I just checked and the next subscription order going out was going to be $28.47. Base price increased from $22.48 to $33.49.
Needless to say I will not be buying the shakes from Amazon anymore at that price so i cancelled my subscription.
The only reason I noticed the change was because this morning when I opened my shake for breakfast I was greeted by a moldy cap. I contacted Amazon customer Service who promptly refunded my purchase. Something didn’t seem right in regards to the refund amount so I checked my previous orders and noticed the discrepancy.
So I guess thank you to Unilever/SlimFast for poor quality which prompted the refund and thank you Amazon for ease of cancelling my future orders.

I’ve used Slim Fast on and off for most of my adult life and I’ve always seen great results. I remember not really enjoying the old cans because they always tasted pretty bad. These new bottles taste great.
The last time I used Slim Fast was almost 2 years ago. I lost 30lbs in 3 months and I had two weeks in that time period where I fell off routine and cheated like crazy. The bottles were a bit different then, I don’t know if this is the same formula.
I’m getting married in October and I want to lose some serious weight so I figured I’d kick start it with a Slim Fast fast. I’m going on my 3rd week using these shakes and I’ve lost 13lbs so far. I usually have a shake in the morning and bring 2 snacks with me to school to last until 3pm. If I’m feeling really hungry when I get home I’ll either have another shake or another snack to tide me over until dinner time. I also have 1 cheat day a week where I get to eat 3 full meals. The morning of the first cheat day I made myself a huge plate of waffles and bacon and only ended up eating a third of it before I got full. I was so surprised at how quickly I got used to knowing when I was full.
I don’t really intend on sticking with this diet long, I’m going to switch over to eating 10 times my goal weight in calories and lifting soon, but I do intend on keeping the shakes around for some quick breakfast alternatives. I also plan on switching over to the high protein powder, because it’s perfect for lifting.

These taste really good and definitely control my appetite. I bought them originally to help with losing weight and thought that it would be a easy way to skip a meal without depriving myself, but what I did not count on was just how much they really do suppress my appetite! If I have one for breakfast I do not crave anything, even at lunch I have to remind myself to eat something! Sometimes I have one for lunch and them I am fine until supper time. Amazing…I really did not believe that they would do that!

I have to admit, I am a carboholic. I have never met a piece of bread, chip, cracker or pasta that I didn’t devour and then want more.
The past few months, I have found myself craving carbs late at night before bed. I couldn’t get Cheez-its in my face fast enough. The sad part is that I couldn’t just have a couple, I would have to eat half of the box! It is no longer worth it for me to buy this product when the most popular of the products are doubled in price for no reason as it costs the same to ship and purchase wholesale. I have ordered for years and now there is only one or two vendors with a monopoly. Why should I feed the hand that dose this kind of thing. My only recourse after buying this product for years is to boycott it all to altogether. as I forgave the fact that the amount was reduced and now the product dose not come in recyclable cans but the bottom line is the price and choice of vendors.
The price is unacceptable in the only flavor I like and the choice of vendors is not 1? Can someone share what is going on to a former food broker?

Slimfast tastes great and works as a diet. I had trouble losing the last 20 pounds on my diet of healthy food and exercise when I switched to slimfast. The drink smells good and actually tastes good. Best of all, I easily lost the last 20 pounds and now only drink them a few times a week. Plus, the price from Amazon is very good cheaper than my local supermarket plus Amazon delivers avoiding carrying the heavy bottles to and from the car.

The taste is the same as the cans, so although I’m not thrilled with the packaging changing to bottles, it’s still yummy & satisfies my chocolate cravings. I don’t like the other flavors at all – only creamy milk chocolate. Keeps me full enough to not obsess about hunger for 3 1/2 hours exactly. Already losing weight: I drink one in the morning & 1 at night & a healthy lunch. I exercise 2 hours a day M – F & have been losing 2 lbs. a week. I’ve been lazy on weekends with exercising.
