The flavor of this protein bar is decent. I can’t really taste the caramel flavoring but it is chocolatey. It has a classic protein bar texture to them with a slight grittiness to them. The bars are are stretchy when pulled apart and slightly chewy. Overall, it’s a decent protein bar at an affordable price. I would consider purchasing this product again over other brands.

These have great macros, no sugar alcohols and stay solid and stable in hot weather wheras other bars can quickly get sticky and squishy. Sure, they don’t taste like candy bars but they’re perfectly palatable and not too sweet. Throw in the value pricing and probably the lowest calories to protein ratio around and they’re my #1 choice for protein on the go.

So for the amount of protein and fiber you get, these bars can’t be beat. It’s not even that many calories. But the taste is not for me. The consistency is terrible, it’s like you’re eating granulated cardboard. And the oils separate so when you open the wrapper it’s already sticky and wet. And the flavor tries to mask the cardboard but it doesn’t do well. Not for me.

These things are packed little bricks of protein. The flavor is mediocre and what you’d expect from eating a 20g lump of protein. There are notes of chocolate and caramel but I promise you’ll be getting that gritty protein bar taste still. It doesn’t bother me much at all but if you’re avoidant to that kind of thing, keep looking. If you don’t care much about presentation, flavor, or texture and are purely interested in the macros and stomaching something down on the go, you’ve found it. I would definitely get these again for the protein to cal ratio.

It’s pretty hard to imagine how they managed to pack all that protein and dietary fiber in a 2.1oz bar that only has 170 calories. I can definitely see this as a meal replacer for weight loss. 20 grams of protein can help curb hunger and dietary fiber is always a plus during weight loss to help ensure consistent and productive movements. The taste is nothing to scoff at considering what they had to do to make it have all the benefits it’s does. It’s only slightly similar to chocolate. I don’t really taste the advertised caramel. That’s fine by me. It’s a very dense bar, being pretty hard and chewy. I think this is a pro because it makes you feel like you are eating something with more substance. It’s very important to spread out your protein throughout the day and not all at one so this makes a great breakfast bar. If you aren’t used to eating that much dietary fiber at once it may cause slight bloating and gas, but that’s not the fault of the bar. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a good quality protein bar

I eat protein bars regularly and was curious to try these. This was my first time trying protein bars from Korea. They arrived well packaged and were fresh/in perfect condition. I love that they are high in protein and low in sugar – low sugar is crucial for me when choosing a protein bar. The texture is soft and easy to chew. The taste is full and satisfying – and even with low sugar, it tastes like delicious chocolate/peanut bar. I did not experience an upset stomach or any other issues from eating these. Overall, a very enjoyable protein bar.

I have eaten a lot of protein bars over the years. My favorite style are just like these; a soft bar with a lot of fiber. These have a very soft texture and are very easy to eat. The nutrition stats on these bars are good too. At 170 calories per bar with 20g of protein and 14g of fiber, they are a wonderful choice for a snack especially when trying to eat 180g+ of protein per day.
My issues with the bars are twofold though. First, the main source of protein in these bars is soy protein. I am not a soy protein fan. It small amounts it seems fine but large amounts just do not seem to work the same in my body as whey protein or even pea protein. There’s research out there that seems to agree that soy protein does not work as effectively as whey. My normal choice of bar has no soy at all and relies on whey protein. My second gripe is the flavor is, while not bad, very muted and bland. I wish there was more flavor to it!
These protein bars are not bad but not great either. If only one of my issues were present, I would give another star but soy protein and a bland taste combined lead me to a three-star rating of the bars.
