I bought this one time and it was fine but the next time, after they restocked, the powder smells and tastes like cardboard!

This protein powder does not dissolve in water or milk. It clumps up even when using a shaker bottle.

This is very high quality protien at a amazing value. Mixes easily, no clumps and tastes great. No fillers, sugars or artificial sweeteners. Very happy I found this brand.

I don’t do Amazon review unless it is a product I use and really works well for me. Carlyle’s unflavored whey protein is hands down the best available whey protein on Amazon. I have been using whey protein all my adult life and have used all the major brand through the years. I am not using protein for casual supplementation of my diet. I use it for strength and muscle training and my overall active health and wellness lifestyle.
Good whey protein by itself should have a mild milky flavor – something like good powdered milk. But if you are buying flavored whey protein, the artificial favoring will mask the poor quality fo the whey. So you can’t tell if you are getting the good stuff. And if you are getting something for purpose of health, why buy something with artifical flavoring in it? So go for the unflavored. You can easily flavor it with fruit, honey, nuts, yogurt. I even use unflavored whey in my veggie shakes in the morning. Unflavored whey is great in your morning coffee or tea.
Okay so Carlyse unflavored why protein is fanstastic. The only other brand that is on par with is is Levels whey which I have used and will continue to use – they’re great!

Good clean basic protein, good value at $59 – and count me in.
Quick and convenient for those days when one runs short of time and protein.
…but …then it disappeared from the market for a couple months – and came back for $69 bucks.
Well… okay… sorta… but 4 months, up 17%… at that pace it will be over $90 by next February.
So… 52 servings for $69 works out to $1.33 a hit, on its way to $90 and $1.73 a hit.
Two people working out, this gets expensive real fast – $2.66 headed for $3.46 a day.
At some point it just isn’t worth it. Cook a bit ahead – and eat a bit of real food instead.
Recommended – IF you you have a big enough… budget…. Cheers!

I’m not sure how this product gets negative reviews as it is about as good as it gets. It is basic whey … which is to say you have to add your own sweetener and flavoring if you care about that. For me I add a little stevia powder and sometimes mix it 50/50 with a stevia sweetened chocolate whey powder when I want taste. If I usually just add a little stevia it’s also fine. Major bonus points for being manufactured in a GMP facility. Excellent product overall … particularly for the price.

I appreciate a high quality, non-GMO, gluten free, and sugar free protein powder. The mixing has been better for me when I’ve used the shaker cup with the ball verses the grid at the top of my lid. Having a grass fed based whey protein has been an excellent addition to my diet!

Got this because it was unsweetened, didn’t have a lot of extra junk in it. Having moved from a vanilla flavored powder, not thrilled with taste (was surprised it had much taste). Easily remedied with a small amount of pure vanilla (on top of fruit that is my normal smoothie). Will stick with it. (Mixes fine in milk)
