Believe it or not, this takes away the knee pain I’ve had for 5 years (and endured endoscopic surgery to try and fix over a year ago). I found this out quite by accident! My daughter takes this for general health and accidentally left her bottle at my house. I decided to finish out her bottle because I heard it improves cholesteral levels. Low and behold, 2 days later I woke up with no knee pain and was scratching my head wondering what in the world I did to achieve this. This pill was the only new thing I was doing so I decided to put it to the test: I stopped taking it and my pain returned within 2 days. So I started taking it again and have lived pretty much pain free for the past 3 months. I have been able to return to the gym for the intense workouts that I love and haven’t been able to do in 5 years. And this is sooooo much better than taking NSAIDS (Motrin, Aleve, etc) all the time because it does not hurt your stomach. 🙂 Also, the Motrin would wear off after around 8 hours but this doesn’t if taken 1 pill twice a day. To me, this is a miracle pill.

This product contains vegetarian chondroitin, and has a good amount of chondroitin in the formula, which, along with the reasonable price, is why I purchased it numerous times. But unfortunately, unlike the majority of other Glucosamine / Chondroitin / MSM supplements, it has only 1,100mg of glucosamine. It did alleviate my pain to a degree, but my joints were still cracking a lot. I would have to take a 4th capsule each day to get the desired amount of glucosamine. And as a matter of fact, I purchased the 1 month supply bottle to be able to do just that with the remainder of my current 2 month supply bottle, which represents a fairly decent price increase.
In addition, they have recently increased the price, and it looks like soon this product will no longer be available through subscribe and save. This means I can only buy it when I buy something else to meet the free shipping threshold. I rarely purchase anything on Amazon unless it is subscribe and save, making that a difficult option. So I would have to pay full price, instead of getting a 15% discount, on top of paying shipping, AND pay extra to take a 4th capsule every day. That is a SIGNIFICANT cost.
I am a senior on a ridiculously small Social Security income. I can’t afford to pay 1 cent more than absolutely necessary for ANYTHING, and in fact, I have had to eliminate a number of important supplements in the last couple of years due to astronomical price increases.
In the beginning, I liked this product. So much so, that when they removed several other of their products from Subscribe and Save, I emailed them to let them know how that would impact my ability to purchase their product. I never heard back from them. I am surprised that they don’t appear to care about this, as I imagine a substantial number of their customers are living on social security, which would impact them in no small way. But there you go. So I will no longer be purchasing ANY of the Best Naturals supplements I have been using for some time now, which was quite a few. For months, Best Naturals was my Go To supplements brand.

I have been taking 6 of the “Best Naturals Krill Oil Soft Gel, 1000 mg” daily for 4 years. I found that for me, it took 6000 mg daily to lower my cholesterol 20 points… this was enough to keep my doctors from urging evil statins. Lower doses simply did not lower my cholesterol. Dr. Mercola recommends 6mg of Astaxanthin each day, so with 6 of these potent pills, I also get his daily recommended Astaxanthin without having to buy/take yet another supplement. I am fair-skinned living in the tropics and the Astaxanthin gives my skin a definite pinkish hue… and I am a lot more sun tolerant now without using sunscreen. My tiny wife also takes this 3xdaily and it makes her skin whiter and lips pinker without lipstick.
To be fair, I have had some bottles where the soft gels stick together and even one bottle where one of the soft gels had leaked… making a mess. There is a slight fishy smell, but my guess is that goes hand in hand with the 500% greater Astaxanthin. But IMHO, the value for the money offsets those rare negatives.
The price of “Best Naturals Krill Oil Soft Gel, 1000 mg” per serving is slightly less than “Amazon Choice for red krill oil”… so good price… every few months I extensively look over the competition but keep choosing this brand as the best value for my money. If you are trying to get Mercola’s recommended dose of Astaxanthin, then “Best Naturals Krill Oil Soft Gel, 1000 mg” is hands down the best deal.
If I took “Amazon Choice for red krill oil”, I would have to take 12 pills a day instead of 6 to get my chosen dosage… another factor to consider.
If you are taking Red Krill Oil for best results and best value… this is the one.

I bought it for my husband and for myself too. We bought a big jar of fish oil at costco about a year ago, however, my husband complained about the fishy burp and stopped taking it. After a lot of research, I found that DHA&EPA can effectively absorbed into the body system with krill oil than fish oil. So, now we started taking it for about 2 weeks now. I was a little afraid that he might reject taking it because it does have a slight smell. My husband no longer complains about any fishy taste or burp. Although we still are in good shape, we both have to watch our cholesterol/TG and I hoping we will get a better results on our next check-up. If it works, then I’ll give 5 stars.
By the way, I had to return the first bottle I ordered because of the product defect. When I opened the seal, inside the bottle was just all red, oily and fishy smell just exploded. First I thought it was how it was but when I looked through inside and there it was, one of the capsules was broken.
