I love the Podium brand. The quality of products along with the visually appealing labeling on the containers make these stand out products for me. This beta alinine is no different. You get a two month supply which is great in my opinion. Easy to use with no strong or even noticeable taste. Dissolves well in water and provides a noticeable boost to athletic performance and reducing muscle fatigue.

It is flavorless, even then I still prefer adding it to preworkout since Im not a fan of how “flavorless” taste, but even so I havent had any headaches, upset stomach or any other bad effects from it but I have noticed small increases to my recovery but I hope it will improve and continue.

I’ve been taking this each morning for around 4 weeks. I can tell an improved amount of longevity in my cycling performance. I’m feeling stronger longer, or longer until fatigue. There is no bad taste to this. I will put it in my morning coffee or in a cup of water or in my sports drink. I thought the container would be bigger but it is fine for a months supply.

I will say I absolutely love the Podium design aesthetics and the overall company ethos. The little off-white canister with the Podium logo laser-printed on the lid and the bold-stripe retro-colored label is dazzling. The beta-alanine inside is made in the USA and appears to be of the highest quality. At a 3-gram serving I get the face tingling that lets me know the stuff inside is good and pure (apparently not everyone experiences this benign side effect, but I do, and I actually kind of like it). But, let’s face it, there are cheaper options out there for what is just a single ingredient supplement. If I had the means, I’d stock a cupboard with the entire Podium line. But since I don’t, I would still look at their products but be very choosy and maybe try some of their proprietary offerings. Another thing that I picked up from a previous reviewer and hadn’t noticed before myself is that this does contain silicon dioxide, which is an anticaking agent. I did a little research and found that it is naturally occurring and probably harmless as a food additive. Interestingly, it seems to be listed as an additive for amino acid supplements that are made in the USA. The bulk stuff that is packaged in the USA but made overseas (most likely China, but this is never indicated) does not list silicon dioxide on the label. My guess is that it is indeed in there but just not listed. Either way, I’m not deducting a star for the additive but rather for the overall value. If you can afford it and appreciate style and aesthetics, I would definitely buy this brand. I am definitely saving the little can when I work through the beta-alanine!

Doesn’t taste like anything, I put in my water. It gives me headaches, which is odd because I bought this due to other reviews saying it doesn’t give headaches.

Single ingredient supplements are great for adding things to your regimen without changing your current stuff

Anyone looking for Beta-Alanine likely knows the feeling… The unstoppable itch of little insects screaming your name in braille as they run around your forehead and shoulders…. They also probably never looked for it by itself having only used it in a pre-workout mix. I figured I’d give this a go since I didn’t want to load myself with all that caffeine but I did want a little muscular endurance boost.
This works well! It summons the ants and lengthens the time before muscles exhaust with a little extra boost… The only downside I’ve noticed (and this is probably since I’m taking it in water with creatine as the only ‘flavors’) is that this adds a stale, rough flavor. The creatine I buy is instantized from Gains in Bulk and I have had it before by itself numerous times without noticing any flavor profile so the weird flavor is definitely from the beta-alanine, but I have a feeling that’s either A, beta-alanine in general, B, the plastic container it’s in, or C, both.
Overall this product does the work you need it to!

The packaging is great. Looks cool/retro, easy to handle, easy to scoop. 0 complaints.
The 60 servings is based on the recommended intake – so it might be less than two months worth if you’re aiming for more per day. I usually stick to the labels of supplements though, because you get a lot of these key nutrients in food, just not at the amount to achieve goals, hence this product.
Beta Alanine definitely helps me with muscle fatigue, especially towards the end of a workout when each exercise before hand takes its toll. I personally don’t feel any additional ‘energy’ boost though, with this or other beta alanine supplements manufacturers.
I do like how well it dissolves, even in cold water. No taste, no grit.. perfect for throwing in your water bottle before getting into your workout, and drinking along the way. Based on metabolism, you might prefer to drink it 30 minutes prior though.
Overall, I am really happy with Podium’s Beta Alanine supplement. It seems to work well for me, and mixes perfectly into any drink. I would highly recommend this supplement!
