The taste of the 12 pack protein crisp bars are not bad at all. I can definitely make the bars a part of my breakfast menu items, especially when I’m on the go. The bars are small and are easy to carry. The bars are an easy way to get your daily protein in and they also keep you full. The 12 pack is a great bargain.

I’ve never heard of Mushashi prior to trying these bars, and I’m a little surprised as the presentation on the product is extremely well done. The box as you get it, looks very aesthetics, double layes on the package. Makes you kinda feel like it should be a high tier treat, and that’s exactly what it is. At 220 calories only, you’re trying a solid 20 grams of quality protein. ( Only con being that it’s Soy. I would much prefer Whey, casein or pea) So yes, maybe it’s not whey or pea. However small quantities of soy probably won’t destroy all our manliness and hard earned gains. Texture and taste are both amazing, feels as if I’m biting into a rice krispie treat every time I have these. The chocolate brownie holds true to its name. The only request would be a whey alternative for picky individuals. Good protein treat overall! 12 bars for $28 is actually really good for how they taste.

These protein crisp bars are great, protein-filled snack. I got the Chocolate Brownie flavor and it contains 20g of protein per bar and 4g of sugar. It has 220cal and 27g of carbs. From a taste perspective, it’s not a very sweet bar, but it contains a variety of sweeteners including erythritol, steviol glycosides, glucose syrup, sorbitol and sucralose. This bar also contains the prebiotics polydextrose and Inulin, but I’m guessing they are in pretty small amounts, so there is not much prebiotic effect. The bar has a really nice texture that feels like a treat to eat. It’s crisp, chewy and chocolatey, making it satisfying to eat and the 20g of protein satisfies my hunger. I eat one before or after my workout because it’s so easy to take along with me to the gym and gives me the protein I want. Also, since it only has a small drizzle of “chocolate” coating, it doesn’t become a melted mess if I leave it in the car. I’ve tried a few flavors of Musashi bars and this is my favorite!

I’ve really enjoyed these protein bars—they taste great and have a satisfying texture that’s a step up from the usual dense, chewy protein bars. The combination of crispy and chunky pieces, all coated in milk chocolate, makes for a delicious snack that doesn’t feel like a compromise. With 20 grams of protein and only 4 grams of sugar, it’s a solid option for post-workout recovery or just as an on-the-go protein boost.
One of the things I appreciate about these bars is the quality of the ingredients. They’re formulated with a clear emphasis on performance, which is evident in the balance of protein and minimal sugar content. Plus, they’re made in New Zealand, which adds a level of trust in their manufacturing process.
For anyone focused on muscle building and recovery, these bars are a convenient and tasty way to support those goals. With 35 years of expertise backing the brand, it’s clear that they’ve put a lot of thought into creating a product that meets the needs of athletes and fitness enthusiasts alike.

If you eat a lot of protein bars, you know the taste of protein. Maybe others love it, but for me I’m always trying to find something that masks the flavor a bit more. These don’t really do the job for me. While the macros are pretty good compared to a lot of options out there, the taste makes me want something else.

I was hoping for whey protein I guess I didn’t read the label good . Great taste no melting filling and I will buy another one

These taste great with 20g of protein and 6g of fiber. There’s also 4g of sugar which isn’t awesome, but this is basically a candy bar replacement so on that level, it’s actually pretty good.
As you can see from my pictures the consistency of this bar is the same all the way through. It reminds me a little bit of a star crunch bar. There’s a sort of crunchy nutty consistency to it and the crispiness comes from little pellets that are very much like rice puffs (but are not since there’s no rice in it).
The flavor of these is chocolatey with no weird after taste. I like the chewy/crispy texture. I would sat that 240 calories is not bad for a bar of this type and it is satisfying.
The price is maybe a little high, but that seems to be true for everything in 2024, and it’s competitive with other bars of the same style. So, I’d call it a reasonable value.

I picked up these Mushashi Protein Crisp bars with 20g of protein as a go-to snack for when I don’t have time to eat or to prepare a protein shake. They are crisp from the packaging and have a pleasant taste with lots of protein and just a thin layer of chocolate on the outside, making you feel like you’re cheating. These only have 4g of sugar and 8g of sugar alcohol and they also added Sucralose to punch up the sweetness, which I am not a huge fan of. But they are tasty for a protein snack, and similar to other brands, they also have a slightly odd aftertaste. I ended up taking these with me on a trip to Walt Disney World, and they were a great snack and source of protein on those long days of walking and standing in the hot sun. I consider these to be a good choice for protein snacks that are made for on-the-go convenience.
