I like the fact that this is pure agmatine with no added flavors or sweeteners. I’m pretty sensitive to toxic sweeteners like Aspartame, Acesulflame, Splenda, etc so always a good thing when I find a power that I can just mix either with plain water or a preferred juice of my choice.\
In this case, I mix this with a juice combination which consists of 33% Grape Juice, 33% Pomegranate Juice, 33% Tart Cherry Juice. Both Grape Juice (the pure stuff, not the stuff that’s watered down with other juice) and pure Pomegranate Juice have wonderful effects on your circulation as well as offering protection to your arteries, veins, capillaries. So mixing those with a dosage of the Agmatine and you basically have yourself a super powered circulation cocktail. Oh and the Tart Cherry juice is anti-inflammatory, helps muscle recovery, helps protect your joints, lowers your triglycerides, boosts your HDL cholesterol (the good type) and lowers your LDL cholesterol (the bad type).

I combine this product with 300g L-Citrulline, 500g creatine monohydrate, and Beta Alanine (all Cellusyn) for my preworkout drink. I also add in caffeine as needed depending on my current caffeine intake for the day.
VERY satisfied with the results. I’ve been looking for an alternative for commercial flagship brands (C4, Nitro, etc) and this is it. I dont like all the “extras” that are crammed into the other brands, as well as not being able to control caffeine amounts (I’m a big coffee drinker so some days i already have enough for the day and don’t want the extra jitters from a caffeine packed pre workout).
I was using C4 since beginning of year, and this matches its performance exactly (this product plus the other 3 mentioned are the main active ingredients in most if not all preworkouts).
Product mixes well in juice or water (no clumping) and gets to work in about 15-20 min.

This was my original review from October 2020:
“ I don’t take this as a workout supplement; I take it for another (seemingly little-known) purpose: to increase efficacy of my opioid pain medication. I have a hereditary, degenerative neuromuscular disease and have had daily pain for over ten years. Just several months ago I was researching various supplements and came across agmatine. I’d never heard of it. Wiki says it is an “opioid modulator” that supposedly increases the analgesic effect while decreasing tolerance (both very good things). I ordered it to give it a shot. Well, IT WORKS. Very, very well. It is really important to me to take the lowest possible strength of pain medication for as long as possible, since I’m pretty young and will have pain the rest of my life. Since adding this product, I’ve actually been able to back down to four Vicodin a day from the five I’d been taking for a few years. It’s that helpful. My medication is more effective, and for longer stretches of time. I used to barely get four hours of relief, and the agmatine has stretched that to the full six hours between doses. There are occasions when it doesn’t, but they are much less frequent. This has become an integral part of my pain management regimen. I wish I could get the word out to other pain management patients. I did share it with my doctor in the hope that he will look into it and maybe recommend it to other patients. As far as frequency and dose, I take from one-half to one full scoop four or so times per day. In the morning I take it when I take my first pill, but then later I take a half scoop between pills. I probably take 2-3g per day, without any bad side effects. I’ve reordered only this brand, it is always properly sealed. I also have the capsules to take on the go. It does taste bad, but I just dissolve it in a small amount of water and drink it, the bad taste does not linger.”
Two years later, I’d like to share an update, hence this edit. I still of course live with chronic pain, and I still take hydrocodone (plus many other things, mostly not controlled meds both prescription and OTC) daily. I still take the same frequency and strength of the opioid and still get significant relief, and agmatine is DEFINITELY a huge part of that. I don’t understand exactly how it works, but can describe the benefits: agmatine somehow helps the hydrocodone to continually be effective but WITHOUT the need/urge to want more and more of the opioid. This aspect seems to be what leads to abuse and addiction: there is a continued craving for the drug, even when it’s not medically necessary (like “needing” it when the pain levels are low), AND on top of that, more and more is needed to achieve the same result. Having dealt with opioid-treated chronic pain for over a decade, I know all of the aspects of how bodies react to it, how much we “need”, how the “need” for the drug eventually surpasses the basic need of pain control and instead morphs into taking it to feed the body’s desire for more…ad infinitum. Well, agmatine totally changes all of that, for the better. I no longer get a “buzzed” type of feeling from the medication (and if you’re taking it for pain relief rather than abusing it, you do NOT want the “buzz” it brings)…I feel totally normal, not buzzed, and fully capable of performing normal human tasks (grocery store runs, mild chores, cooking, etc), AND I never feel like I’m “chasing a buzz” or whatever. I said before that agmatine is a game changer of epic proportions for opioid mediation treatment, and three years after adding it that fact is reaffirmed for me. I truly wish I could share this with so many others living with chronic pain who take opioids…it’s that big of a deal IMO. And I’d like to add that since the very first dose of agmatine I’ve taken, I’ve ONLY taken the Nutricost product (in all fairness, I don’t think there are many companies making it, so there are likely few competitors) that I’ve ordered here from the Nutricost store on Amazon…and every batch is top quality, arrives perfectly, is packaged safely, and is fairly priced. In fact, I’ve started buying other supplements I need from Nutricost and every one has met the same high standards. Nutricost is a great supplier of quality items at good prices and I’d recommend them to anyone.
TL;DR: Agmatine is a very successful opioid modulator that can significantly benefit chronic pain patients taking opioid medications, and Nutricost is an excellent and reliable supplier with quality products at good prices

Someone called it that and it well may be. I don’t know where to start with this stuff, my review may be too long to post. This is good quality agmatine at a good price. Agmatine interacts with other substances, in effect potentiating them and allowing you to use less and gain more. I’ll leave it to you to discover what works but if you have neuropathic pain or neuralgia, RLS, insomnia, probably many other conditions, consider combining this with high CBD – CBN cannabis tincture. Dr’s Rx poison for these conditions, I’m glad folks who need them ‘benefit’ from those drugs but you can probably avoid those drugs and their horrible withdrawal symptoms and side effects with agamatine in combination with some carefully chosen herbs. I can finally sleep 5 or 6 hours straight, agmatine lowers anxiety and increases appetite and can make your taper off of drugs easier but please be careful and do some study. This stuff is fantastic.

It’s working great for the reasons I chose it as a supplement being; helps my neuropathy and has given me my appetite back (my two main reasons). The product is well packaged and includes a handy scooper inside. As far as taste “what taste?” It’s working for me so I’m happy with it. It will last me a long time too!!
