I appreciate that it doesn’t contain any unwanted ingredients or fillers – just whey protein! Also I love that it doesn’t upset my stomach.
I mix it into smoothies in the morning with fruits or vegetables. It tastes great.

I was excited about the simple ingredient list and an alternative to cow whey. I also and am a fan of goat milk products, so this seemed like a win. Alas, it was not a winning combination. It tasted like what I can only describe as a barnyard and quickly tore through me leaving me crampy and disappointed. The only upside was the sugar content wasn’t outrageous.
Don’t waste your money.

If you don’t like goat cheese, you probably won’t like this, it’s VERY goaty (not a real word!), but I do. It’s very creamy and blends well in smoothies, and has a decent protein content. As for a review that was negative because they tried to put it in coffee, this is not a creamer to mix into your coffee! Caffeine can interfere with protein synthesis so you don’t want to have protein and caffeine together, anyway, even if you do like the goatiness of it. I’m sure this would also mix well into any savory foods that are good with goat cheese, like a pasta sauce or some kind of baked goods if you’re into baking.

If you’ve found your way to this page, I’ll go ahead and assume you know what whey protein is, and why it’s a good post-workout protein to put in your body. You also probably have some idea of why goat milk is generally better for you than cow milk, although I don’t really know if it matters after it’s been processed to extract the whey from it to make a product like this. There probably is some difference, perhaps a meaningful benefit; you may want to do your own research on that. I’m not a biochemist but I do raise dairy goats, so I am biased towards goat milk and I like to support my fellow dairy goat farmers.
What I will tell you is that this product is a great goat whey powder. It has excellent product labeling, which makes me trust the company more than other brands I’ve looked at. I like to know what I put in my body and I prefer to buy from companies that really go out of their way to be as transparent as possible. i was already using their creatine product before I started using their protein powders, and I’m happy to be a loyal customer of their other product lines.
This stuff mixes quite easily. I don’t bother with a blender or fancy shaker bottle. Honestly none of that is really needed if you don’t mind a few small lumps. I don’t add anything to it, except water, and I mix it with a fork, which serves as a pretty good whisk in a pinch. Generally I’ll put two scoops in an already-wet glass, add water about halfway full, whisk it with the fork, add a bit more water, whisk it some more, and then fill the rest of the glass and whisk it one last time. Doing that, I rarely have any of the protein powder sticking to the glass, and it is mostly liquefied with just a few of those lumps floating on top, which don’t bother me at all while I gulp it down.
The taste of the unflavored version that I use is mild but pleasant, and I always look forward to drinking it. It has become a rather enjoyable part of my post-workout routine: a little treat as my reward for hard work in the home gym. Sometimes I’ll have two servings, even though I’m pretty sure I’m getting all the benefit I need from one serving. It’s just because I like it. If there is any additional benefit, it’s likely small, but everybody needs to get a certain amount of calories and protein every day anyway, any excess that doesn’t help with muscle protein synthesis will just get used by the body in other ways. And the extra hydration can’t hurt either.
I’m running low on my current jar, so I picked up another jar of this. I figured I’d leave a review while I’m here since obviously I liked it enough to buy it again. Until or unless I find something better, this will be my go-to whey powder. It’s a bulk product so each jar lasts a while.
Good luck with your fitness goals!

My husband recently got diagnosed as pre diabetic and him and I both decided to change our eating habits. He used to use chocolate protein powder, but he loves this one and so do I. No flavor, you add your own flavor by whatever you chose to put in it. The best thing about this is we do not get an upset stomach or having to use the bathroom. For some reason, all other protein powders would upset our stomach, but not this one. Maybe because it is goat whey? Anyway, you must give this a go. Don’t let the price deter you. It is a huge container.

it is impossible to find grass fed goat whey anywhere in my area. I heard about this from a podcast run by a functional medicine doctor.
at first I didn’t like the taste, but I tinkered around with different nut milks and now I have a monthly subscription because I drink it every day. I’m very happy with this product.

Makes the best smoothie. As lactose intolerance person – I have no issues with using this whey in my smoothies!

I’m sure the quality of the product is fine, but I ordered chocolate in hopes that it would hide the funky goat taste, unfortunately it does not. Honestly, the chocolate is so subtle that I wouldn’t even know it was chocolate if I didn’t read the container. I used half a serving, so one scoop, and it made my entire smoothie taste like sweaty feet. If you enjoy the flavor of goat funk then you’ll love this.

This unflavored goat whey powder takes on the flavor of whatever I add to it. So my berry smoothie just tastes like berries, my green protein shake tastes like the veggies, etc.. I appreciate that there is no other unwanted ingredients, just whey protein. Great stuff

I have never been able to tolerate protein powder, even the ones designed for digestion issues. I am trying this one for the first time today. So far so good. It smells good and clean…no gagging chemical smell like most. There is for sure a goat milk/cheese flavor to it, but, I mixed in strawberries, vanilla and maple. I think the fact that it is flavorless is a huge plus because possibilities are endless. If this ends up hurting my stomach, I would still rate it high because it is such a clean product. 😊
