For 7lb and $54…. the price for what you get is unbeatable. The best if you are on a budget. But there’s a sacrifice. The taste. It’s unflavored and man they don’t lie. It tastes like you’re drinking water that has…. some powder in it with a hint of pea. But you get what you pay for. I would rate it 4.5 but IDK how to do that on a phone. Anyway it’s gets the job done for cheap but I really do need something with a good flavor

I’ve ordered this product in its 7 lb. container from Carlyle 6 times in the past year or two. It has always had a pleasant, neutral taste to blend in smoothies and I always buy an extra container to have on hand when I finish an old one. The container I purchased on March 11, 2024 and opened this morning is simply AWFUL. The flavor is RANK. I used to ride horses and work in horse barns and it smells like horse manure and tastes so strongly I can barely swallow it. What did you do to this product??? It was so good. I’ve tried many pea protein brands and some have a stronger flavor than others, and batches vary, but this is by far the worst I have ever purchased from anyone. Don’t you have testers for this stuff? I’ll be changing brands now as I can’t return this garbage. So disappointed. Get some quality control.

I like this product , at first !
As i got down in the jug ( its taken a while ) i noticed hard clumps in it .
When i break them up its a different texture .
To further investigate i did a test where i put a normal scoop of powder in a glass and a scoop of the broken clumps into a glass .
Not only was there a difference in the taste , there was also a difference in thickness , and blending .
This make me feel as though it settles into different ingredients .
I would return it but it is past my return window

I’m on my second tub. I love the protein content and the value. It tastes fine to me as is. Sometimes I’ll throw in some sugar free chocolate syrup in my shake to change it up.
Overall I’m happy and I’ll keep buying it 🙂

I haven’t seen any value like this in any store. It’s not easy to find unflavored protein powder either!

I’m gonna give this 5 stars, but to be completely clear – the unflavored version doesn’t exactly dance on your taste buds. It’s got an earthy, nutty pea protein taste that even the sweetest of sweeteners can’t fully disguise. Not my favorite, might I say.
But let’s talk about why I’m still a fan. This stuff is no joke when it comes to packing in the protein. We’re talking 29 grams per scoop, which has been a big help for me in adding some extra protein into my diet post-workout. I’ve been keen on trying alternatives to whey protein, and this has done the job nicely.
Quality-wise, I’m impressed. It feels like good stuff, and for the price? It’s a steal. You just aren’t gonna find a better bang for your buck if you’re looking for a protein supplement.
In the future, I’m thinking of mixing this with some whey protein powder to take the edge off the flavor. But all in all, if you can handle a bit of a strong taste, this pea protein powder is a top-notch pick for quality and value.

A lot of people say this tastes bad, but it doesn’t to me. It’s not sweet or chocolatey for sure, but I mix two scoops with water twice per day on average and have no issues with it. Good, clean protein as far as I can tell and a lot cheaper than many other options out there. I also like the size – 7 pounds lasts me about a month.

This stuff has a pretty bad taste but it’s much more tolerable than the majority of the flavorless options. It also is such a great deal considering its vegetarian and you get high grams of protein and the container is massive so it lasts forever.
