Love this company however the pill size was a big shocker! My little guy is 17 lbs and chews it for a bit and swallows. I actually have to force my big dog to eat it cause he spits it out everytime. Great company just wish they were littler balls.

Nordic Naturals’ Omega-3 Pet has helped my old lady’s skin issues tremendously with the added bonus of supporting her fur, eyes, and joint health. I was weary to purchase from Amazon because of packaging and quality concerns, but I decided to give it a try because the majority of reviews didn’t report anything negative.
Unfortunately, upon arrival they were covered in goop from another product that I ordered which had spilled because of poor packaging on Amazon’s part. Luckily, the bottle and safety seal protected the supplements, so I simply wiped the goop off.
The supplements themselves appear to be of good quality as always, but I did notice they were somewhat squishier than the last time I bought them. However, I’d say it was a good change, as they weren’t the easiest to chew for my dog before.

These pills WORK! I’ve been giving one every day to my shih-tzu and I’ve seen a huge difference in the quality of her fur. Her fur is SO soft and silky smooth/shiny now, which also helps her hair tangle less! At first it was a bit of a struggle to get her to eat the pill since it’s so big, so I would cut it open and squirt it over her food, but now she’ll just chew them up on her own no problem! She seems to really like how they taste. Great buy!!

These are big soft gels. Let me get that to you right outta the gate. They’re huge. My little guy would not take them just as a soft gel. He wouldn’t take it if I broke it open and poured it on his food, either (they are smelly when you do that, just FYI). But, if I wrap that thing in cheese….game on!
So, once I figured that out, we’ve had smooth sailing on the huge soft gel front.
Now, I got these because he has had so much trouble with his skin. I changed his food (Purina ProPlus for Sensitive Skin & Stomachs-Salmon and Rice version) and that helped. These were a game-changer! After two weeks of 1 soft gel a day (he only weighs 20lbs) the biting stopped. The getting up and down in the middle of the night to dig and scratch all over himself stopped. He had chewed at the base of his tail so much he had a scab there from the constant biting. He was flaky (as if he had dandruff) and although I bathed him monthly (to make sure this wasn’t because of fleas, and it was not) his coat was dull, and brittle. He is a beautiful smooth-coated chocolate Doxie/Lab mix (don’t ask, where there’s a will there’s a way) and his coat had been getting worse and worse over time. Once the biting and scratching started I knew this was something I had to deal with quickly. The sore on his tail just did me in. Vet wanted to run all kinds of tests and put him on a prescription (starts with an ‘A”).
I knew this was a food issue. There are treats he cannot have because they make him itch terribly. I just had to find the right combination to ease up his skin problems. This stuff did the trick. He is shiny, gorgeous and moving like he hasn’t in awhile (he’ll be 8 this fall-2021) and all around happier and more relaxed. I guess if your skin’s not crawling with aggravating sensations, you’d feel better and be more relaxed too!
So, highly recommend, five stars, bells, whistles and Celebration with Kool & the Gang because this stuff changed my little dude’s life. Oh, and the bottle has lasted me nearly 4 months, just ordered my second one, so definitely has paid for itself…your mileage may vary depending on your dog’s weight. If I had to give this to my big 65lb mutt, this might be a different story, but she is a lot tougher than her older brother and has no issues whatsoever.

I do notice a difference with my 14 year old catahoula dog taking these. He actually loves the taste of these pills ironically. It can cause some stinky breath! A toothbrush or a green stick helps a bit 🙂

My Labradors have been on these for 3 months and their coat is amazing. My silver lab has issues with his summer coat where he almost looks bald in places, he sheds his winter coat and there is never much hair all summer. After a month on these his coat grew in, after 3 months he has a thick coat. Neither dog is shedding. Very good supplement. Will keep my dogs on these.

The product is good but amazon did not takr care of the product. I received all the capsules clumped together. After trying to contact amazon for 2 days , i did not get a proper reply. Amazon dont take care of products that are vulnerable to heat and temperature. All capsules were clumped together and it is difficult to seperate them without letting the oil leak. Not satisfied.

I started giving my dog fish oil after he was suffering through some skin issues and the supplements restored his skin and fur. His coat is back to being full, soft, and shiny. The only downside is that the pills are pretty big for my mini dachshund.
